good for you, you are actually using UBUNTU, ubuntu is a fucking horrible kernel of linux. Not to mention if you do any actual work you will likely need windows, you are obviously a child who thinks linux is "cool" with the stupid eye candy addons.
I usually compile my own kernels o.O and If you think I'm a child, well it's okay, but I'm not using Windows for work, I'm programmer too, you know(well, I'm still learning, but I'm best in my class abd I wouldn't call myself a child if I considered how much I know about linux) besides, Ubuntu isn't the only Distribution I used, I'm going to switch to Mint in April. Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Austria
You already have app for MSN and it's called Empathy IM. You can find it in Applications>Internet.
And for mp3 you have Rhytambox. It's also installed on your Ubuntu. Look in Multimedia or Media. But you need codecs to listen to mp3. To install them open Terminal and type: sudo apt-get update , after that type sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras , then you can listen to your music.
@lukic04 I disagree. I believe you can run .exe's with wine. They 'do not', however, run the same way or (in almost 50-60% of cases) run correctly. However they do still run.
Of course you can, you can even run Windows programs through WINE, thought with Linux alternative Iḿ sure you wouldn´t miss your Windows applications.
lxde è in sviluppo e incompleta quindi presenta molte carenze rispetto a gnome di ubuntu. utile nel caso in cui vuoi fare un server e necessiti di un interfaccia grafica veloce e priva di molte cose.
I dont really understand why u schould take Lubuntu so badly,
But I like the fact that you can see that opensource really works. If a small group of people want something different they can make it without any problems from others.

I agree, I mean testing Linux distros in Vbox is great I do it all the time, but a far better way to test your actual equipment is to use WUBI.

You can't run .exe files on Ubuntu.
It's a different system from Windows.
I would suggest you to searhc on youtube with: install software ubuntu. You'll find a lot of tutorials. You can try on goolgle too.

open the terminal if you installed it and type:
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
