i got luigi's mansion when i was 2 yrs old and i never really payed attention to it until i was bored on a saturday morning when i was 12. i am 12.i beat the game in 3 days and boy was that game hard as a motherfucker. when i finished the game i felt so proud that i promised luigi and nintendo that i would buy luigis mansion 2 for my 3ds.

at first i didn't like how nintendo has made luigi a scardycat and weakling today, but replaying luigi's mansion with the video game knowledge i have today as opposed to 10yrs ago, it was really nice having a twist in a mario game that didn't involve koopas goombas or jumping. but i honestly think it would be better on wii than 3ds, it could be both but lets face it, the wii needs a recovery and needs a good game they're getting weak

@themangOMEGA Not really. Lm2 lacks EVERYTHING the first one did. Scary music, creepy unlocking a door cutscenes, a dark chilling feeling that actually scares you, scary ghosts, scary sound effects, and lastly dark rooms. I mean have you seen the rooms? EVERY damn room has lights or candles on in it, making the flashlight useless. And the ghosts? Remind me of Deku Scrubs. Theme song? Zelda's Lullaby really? The original was for 10+... Lm2 is basically 9 and under. Cant wait to play it though ^_^

The game may have started as a mario game but evolved into this. The game was obviously a glorified tech demo, but didn't have the substance of a true Nintendo hit, and they knew this wasn't going to be a killer app. That's why the game isn't Mario's Mansion.

(It's cool what they've done with the Super Mario Galaxy games though.)

There's a mistake in this review. This isn't Luigi's first solo adventure. The first one was something we all wish to forget, and that's, "Mario is Missing." But I liked this game... it was an underrated gem for an underrated gem or a system.

nintendos been teasing at a sequel to luigi's mansion on the 3ds and i've never played this game and always really wanted to, but never had a gamecube until for a short period in 2007. i still never got to play it. i remember watching gameplay of it at a walmart when the gamecube was first released and i was just blown away at how gorgeous the game looked. i just bought this game on ebay and am eagerly awaiting the day the fat mail guy delivers it to my doorstep. :)

I'm not sure that they've said anything about LM2 on 3DS (and it seems like a kind of one-off game that was meant to launch a new graphical and gameplay style, not an attempt at a series) but I do know that they experimented with the original on Gamecube and made it with stereoscopic 3d that one could perceive with 3d glasses. This was rather easy for them to do even with the Cube theoretically having to process twice the imagery. Why? Because the Cube GPU designed to output 3d believe it or not
