I love to build Airplanes, helis and cars from kits, is a blast to build them ;)
one time i spent 6 months building a piper cub and after i finish it was my baby until i crash it :( i even cry after so many months of building :( , but i love to build them it show you the inside out of model aviation and a better understanding on how things work

The fun of R/C si so much bigger when you build and after awery build you get more and more skiled so don't waste money on ARF buy your self materials(balsa/depron) and start gluing your models. For me those R/C pilots that newer build a balsa plane and know only to buy ARF kits/parts are yust big kids!
@miharix Would only say that having been in R/C for over 35 years, the ARF's are a great help to those folks who are just getting into RC and for us older veterans. Building can be very expensive for a first timer. The ARF's and RTF's take alot of guess work out of the hobby. I wish they had these types of options when I first started. Would have saved a good deal of headaches and frustration. I would suggest that after learning to fly, building a balsa plane is a great winter project!
i would like to have it pre assembled only because i'm new at hobby grade rcs so i have no hobby grades and i don't really know what everything is and where they are.
I would much rather build my rc for the coul fact i want to be aware of its making. And to also assure the quality control is there. If you like rtr then your against Ms Liz over here. Show some respect people. Peace and prosper
Ready to Fly for me. Maybe when I am retired and have more free time I would like to tackle a build but for not I appreciate being able to get straight out to the field and go flying. Plus the ARF market has exploded. They are so nice now. You can have your cake and eat it too, and by that I mean you can have a great looking semi scale electric at a great price. In the past planes of this caliber were way outside my budget, but now they are actually very reasonable.

I prefer my RC planes in plug and play form, as I am not really that handy with my hands, and there is every chance that a plane that was fully assembled by me is not going to fly well or look good. I like PNP as it still looks good, but I can fiddle around with the rx/tx still as well as the battery setup. I liked Tony's idea about the skewers too strengthen and hold together bits I have fixed. Nice one.
I would rather build my own because then i have tons of different choice's with my plane and also it make's it much funner when your building the plane and it is fantastic when that plane lift's smoothly off the ground. Keep up the awesome video's :D
I'm so freaking mad at people for not liking this video. I mean come on 7,000+ views in a video with a giveaway and we can't get more than 700 likes? People really aren't that smart are they? If you don't like the video and you don't comment you have no chance at winning this drawing.

I started flying nitro 25 years ago when I was flying a clipped wing Quickie 500 with rear exhaust os 46 + tuned pipe and 45 heli's. One of the 1st memories my wife has with me is of me crashing my heli while showing off to her.
Preassembled is good to keep me busy while I'm building.

@crossbowpanhead If you are interested I have a video w/ parts list for a 70mm EDF F-22 that does 100 mph (CLOCKED at 100mph not ADVERTISED at 100mph). It flies well at low speeds as well, very large flight envelope (like all F-22's). Click my name and look at my vids or search for "High speed RC f-22". It was right around $200, everything from hobbyking. You can get a RTF one cheaper from bananahobby but their planes are crap, advertised as a 95mph plane but only does 60-65mph in level flight.
Building, either from a kit or plans w/ molded parts kit. It's more challenging and rewarding. I started my boys on dope and tissue elastic band planes so they could appreciate the history of RC.
I rather prefer to build my own aircraft, that way i can test my skills and imagination on design and capabilities ,but buying is great too because you get the details home made can't give you, plus opening a box and seeing a new craft right before your eyes is priceless and fun to build too !!!
Look as Liz,....all up there kickin-butt. Good job! Great vid, if they wanna turbo charge with the twin 70mm fans they are gonna need to turn them around the other way. LOL
building a plane from a kit is alot of fun, and everyone should try it at least once. however, now that i've made a couple it's nice just to open the box and fly!
and i'm broke sine my back is done i love to have this it be great never had something of this greatness please please i beg i'd make it my baby. well the boys are more important as a single father so it be a while before id be able to get one. but i still move forward i have to. for there sake.

I have been in R/C for 3 years. I love airplanes. So for me, I much prefer to build my own planes. I have a couple of rtf but I would still rather build mine. Plus it gives me something to R/C is one of the best hobbies to be in because of the diversity and challenges it provides.
Just built my first ARF an A10 Warthog enjoyed the fact that there were videos on the site to watch for reference bu I prefer building it because i am a hands on type of person
I have been in R/C for 30 years. I love building airplanes. So for me, I much prefer to build my own planes. I have a couple of ARF's but I would still rather build mine. Plus it gives me something to do during the winter months. R/C is one of the best hobbies to be in because of the diversity and challenges it provides.
Even if I had the skill to built a kit plane I wouldnt want to. I used to build computers and always hated it. Only plus side was a fast rig for half the price. Now that I have a little more money to play with these days, I let the pro's do it ;)
I think everyone should build thier own kit so you know what to do when something goes wrong. Ive seen too many people give up on this great hobby over a simple little problem.
I enjoy both, assembled kits are always fun to get in the air quick whereas build it your own kits can be just as fun to build and customize as it is to fly!! With this t-28 however, I would have a great time getting it put together quickly but also doing my personal customization at the same time...I NEED IT!!! :=)
For me it depends on the time of year. Since I live in Pennsylvania, winter time I like to build more. Summer time I'd rather have a plane I don't have to do much for assembly. I'd rather fly than build during the summer months.
A T28 would make a nice addition to my hanger... As for building or prebuilt... It just depends on what model it is and if I have the time to build it. Although some of the RTF planes look great!
At this point I would rather have it pre-assembled. With all the demands on my time I just don't have enough time to build. At some point I hope to get into building though!
I started in RC by watching the gys down at the field and playing on the sim, I now fly pretty good I fly a lot of Heli's with bert kammerer, and bobby watts
I have 5 kids and 4 play year round sports. I like to build, but I also like the bind and fly or receiver ready planes too. If it's a balsa plane I like to build it. If it's a foamy I like the receiver ready planes.
I feel that it varies on the plane. Some planes, like the foam ones, I like pre assembled. However, I kind of like doing the work on larger fiberglass ones.
I like both RTF and ARF. I enjoy kits as when its compelted and flying , you get a great sense of achievement, but having the Readyness of a good RTF or BNF/PNP to just put it up in the air is also great because it skips the waiting to get your new toy in the air! Depends on how long i'm willing to wait for me! ;)
personally , id rather have them built , so i can get into the air sooner , but my dad on the other hand prefers to build a kit. id like to have that t28 in the air!
I like preassembled planes, and cars, but I'd rather assemble helis...there's just too much that can go wrong with them, that I'd rather do it myself.
i would like it built because im still new to the hobby i would love to win a Mig15 we carry would be the 64mm by Artech and the smallest Blue Angel is the 64mm by MaxJet. i would love one but my back is ageist the wall due to my injury there cheap so i would love to win one it be the highlight to RC collection i don't have anything of these and would love to win one i post you guys on my facebook page every day
i like building planes because it gives me a better exeperience of how it works and how i can control it better btw love your channel and pick me as your winner....thanx
I enjoy building and flying. I think it is my favorite part of building my planes, helis or cars is that i get to know them as I build. It helps identify stress points and things to watch for wear. Also you will know how to tear something down and repair it.You have already assembled it once, so do it in the reverse order as the build.
i would rather have a preasembled helicopter or plane because its not that much work and i can't even tell which stuff goes where...pick me as a winner
Not but 2 days ago I bought the at-6 Texan rtf and the other plane I was contemplating about getting was the t-28 which now your giving away.

I prefer pre built planes. Just don't enjoy long builds. Great show keep those tips coming.

I like both RTF and ARF. I enjoy kits as when its compelted and flying , you get a great sense of achievement, but having the Readyness of a good RTF or BNF/PNP to just put it up in the air is also great because it skips the waiting to get your new toy in the air! Depends on how long i'm willing to wait for me! ;)

Pre-built or kit version. I guess it depends on the aircraft.

As for the question about pre-built or build-it-yourself.... Defiantly build it myself.
New Subscriber here, keep it short and sweet and I'll keep stick around.

Super Idea to show the tips from Tony! I love it. It is cheaper to get the planes prebuilt.

I like preassembled planes, and cars, but I'd rather assemble helis...there's just too much that can go wrong with them, that I'd rather do it myself.
gunslinger4130 5 months ago
I like preassembled because I'm impatient and want to get them into the air faster.

I enjoy building and flying. I think it is my favorite part of building my planes, helis or cars is that i get to know them as I build. It helps identify stress points and things to watch for wear. Also you will know how to tear something down and repair it.You have already assembled it once, so do it in the reverse order as the build.

good info for the foamie flyers crash kit for the field. I am always fixin some ones plane because they did not bring even the bare essentials.
