@SolarxWind I'm not too good on this subject, but I've heard that it was a Romanian scientist at the University of Bucharest who discovered insulin before Banting, but Banting misquoted his article and claimed that such a discovery had never been made. Is this anything you've heard 'bout?
@DrStrangebomb1993 Hm, I've never heard of that theory. In any case, even if the Romanian scientist discovered it first, Banting was the one that popularized it and helped distribute it to the masses. This was a race for people's lives, and he was the one that got it out to the public first.
@SolarxWind Having made some research on the subject meanwhile, I've found the name of this would-be inventor - Nicolae Paulescu. I think he's on Wikipedia too, at least the English one.
@DrStrangebomb1993 The Romanian, Nicolae Paulescu, discovered it. He discovered it, found a way to use it and did all the work. He was widely recognized but the medical world denounced it because he was an anti-Semite.
@MihaiViteazul100 Yeah it's true... it's the Simon Wiesenthal Center (Zionists) who whined when Hotel Dieu wanted to inaugurate a bust of him as the true inventor of insulin.
THE TRUE DISCOVER OF THE INSULIN WAS NICOLAE PAULESCU!!BANTING STOLED HIS 50 YEARS OF WORK

@MihaiViteazul100 Personally I think it's bullshit he was anti-Semite. He had a Jewish colleague too I heard... just western propaganda.

@DrStrangebomb1993 And even if he was, what he did in his personal life doesn't make his discovery any less real.
