  • I searched master yi of league of legends and found this

  • if you think his qi was rough, perhaps you should figure out what qi is. you will find mosts qi quite rough.

  • this is cool . check out you tube -american shaoliin wudan jerry cook - a dao-in master documenting ofer 100 traditonal daoist internal and budhst external styles his internal is efortless 108 5 element styles chinas greatest forms.

  • i think theworldtaiji is crazy, chen is external in the sense that the internal strength is manifested to an external force. these are the principles of taiji chuan. Taiji is a philosophy a priciple of motion and these properties make taiji what it is, the basis

of all martial arts. Having trained with several chen masters i am actually planning a visit with master ren for training. The masters all have something to share.

  • Again, he is very very external and has no internal aspect of Chen Tai Chi. He never was really closed to CXW in China and he learned most of his tai chi from Chen Zhiqiang and chen Bing. May be a little bit from Chen Xiaoxing, but Chen xiaoxing never ever made it to National in China and he just used his Big brother's name, CXW to get his frame... Do some research and use your critical judement...

  • Excelente!

  • Does he still teach in NYC?

  • I have been unimpressed with Ren's Chen style since first witnessing a performance back in '97..I remain unimpressed.

  • love the explosive fluidity. Both creative and impressive.

  • I wish I did not meet him so that I could keep respect and expectation.

his Qi is very rough, there is no softness.

    'Softness prevails hardness'...Tai Chi.

  • But he is one of the FEW who can use Taiji to fight, or so I've heard..

  • @Aheyne its not so few. Just not widely taught in combat variation because it takes far more dedication than most have these days.

  • He may be a good martial performer but not a martial ARTIST.

Tai Chi Quan is not just movement. there should be 'Tao' in it.

Think about the meaning of 'Tai Chi'.

He was unbelievably impolite and rough when I saw him in person. I was extremely diappointed.

    "Softness prevails hardness"

Good posture is not everything in Tai Chi or any martial arts, I think...

  • Maybe he is a fighter. I've known fighters in ITF taekwon-do who dislike the tendency to make martial arts philosophical. A martial art is first and foremost about FIGHTING! Everything else is an ad on or something you acquire after learning how to fight. Martial artists are concerned with being able to protect themselves in real world situations, not with being philosophical. The major goal is having the ability to fight, old skool masters get annoyed when ppl dont understand that

  • @caribbeanpriceclub I found some problems with your statement. First of all you are mixing cultures, which is a huge mistake, taekwon-do is a Korean martial art and perhaps their philosophy is all about the FIGHTING like you state. But each Asian martial art, or from any other country on that matter, has their own views about their style. Chinese martial art has a more practical view; their philosophy above anything else is about SURVIVING a combat or avoid it if necesary.

  • Chen Tai Chi is definitely the hardest style to learn. I don't think it's very suitable for older people or beginners.

  • This masters Forms and structure are to the T.. You can see the power he posses, his movement is very fluent my respects.

  • Master Ren is a rare open teacher. His classes are public and fully incorporate the deeper martial aspects of Taiji.

  • I wish I could meet the man. My Sihing was also a student of Tai Chi for a time and told me a great deal about how incredible Master Ren is. If I were going to learn Chen style from anyone I think I would want it to be either someone of the Chen family directly or him. *bows* Currently a student of Northern Shaolin and Yang Tai Chi btw.

  • I wish I did not meet him so that I could keep some repect and expectation...

  • This guy is one of the 5 most deadliest men on this planet right now. Believe me, I have seen his underground demonstrations. He can probably take out the majority of the shaolin monks in a real fight.

  • Hosdurga - He has no underground demonstrations

  • @hosdurga

and u r the one to measure the ability of shaolin monks? speculations like these are just ignorant

  • interesting!!!

  • Sweet jane,sweet jane....

  • Oh my god!! that's Lou Reed! velvet underground~

someone like him got into something like Chen Taichi.

how more original can you get.

  • Very professional - I like the sound of multiple angle and frame to frame format etc... here is a master who really wants people to understand his arts and not fool around doing a poor imitation!

  • Most professional martial arts video I've seen to date. Very detailed and clear. Easy to follow, and gives an excellent overview of the Chen Village system as well as Master Ren's own forms. Lou's music also matches the action perfectly and enhances its energy.

  • Wow what a cool video. Master Ren is amazing. I can't wait to see the whole thing. The locations are really beautiful too.

  • Wow!!! Sign me up Shih fu....

    Amazing production quality can't wait!!!

  • I am so looking forward to this DVD! Master Ren Guang-Yi is great!!
