@wernernon78 I'm going soon...But i find it hard to find correct information, about the country. I've look on many sites, (Albanian crime rate) and some hade very high crime rate. And some hade very low...But based on the people i've chat with online (that lives in Albania) It seems pretty safe...And the city is very nice. (if you like mcdonalds you'll be disappointed). Also north Albania is lovely (as i heard). Hoped it helped.

Has changed maginificantly in 10 years, the only way is up and Albania is one of the fastest recovering/developing countries in the world. I can't wait to see Tirana, vlore and every other city in 10 years. :') makes me proud.

yeah tirana is pretty cool, if you want to go somewhere to just chill and relax in cool laid back spots, tirana is your place man, i've been all over the world and i haven't seen the level of chill that tirana provides, you can sit down in reall relaxed cafe's with really cool music sip on some espresso, check out the beautiful weman and forget about everything, its a really mellow city, of course there's a lot to be done but it'll make feel right at home man

You can go by taxi which costs quite a lot , i guess 70 euros at least ,or a bus . I d advise you to take a bus , take one that goes to vlora and from vlora(or staight t sarande) go to llogara,dhermi,himare and Sarande ;) . The best place in my opinion is sarande ;) , go and there and you wont regret it ;) . I was there last summer and i plan to go again this one ;) . The buses are quite good in my opinion ;) . And in 5-6 hours you ll be in Sarande ;) . Have a gr8 time ;) .

adriatic sea is from Durres and up north, after that is called "sea of JON" in albanian it means "our sea" :)

South is a bit more expensive than the north but its worth it as it is better.
