NA, i didnt sell the car, but lets say i was very vigilant...and lucky on ebay as well.
i even have the original box for the 184 keyboard.
Yes, I agree, for sheer ease of use and total integration, use reaktor or absynth, but for POWER, FLEXIBILITY, and INSTANT REWARD, which actually encourages you to experiment...get a modular.
20 module 100m w/the 184. Did you sell your car? Damn prices these days are ridiculous!!! I like all these old vids with this guy. Fun to watch and great motivators.
ive since acquired a 20 module roland system 100m with the 184 keyboard, and I have the roladn system 100 (expander mixer sequencer et al) and I have to say that they are absolute dynamite! unless you are vince clarke, then softsynths just dont compare.
You can't decide if it's a Juno 6 or a Juno 60 on this video. The only different between them is that the Juno 60 is programable. That part of the Juno is not showed in the video.
I'm using a Juno 60 but I've never used it with a sequencer.
look at the diagram at the beginning. it's a system 100m and a juno6 both being controlled by a sequencer. The system 100m is being sequenced, and the Juno6's arpeggio is synced. You only hear the 100m at the beginning. Then at around 21sec, the juno comes in with the higher pitched notes. Then towards the end, he transposes the 100m.
Great stuff. I have a juno6, and the arpeggio can be synced to audio, like a line from a drum machine.
Know your facts, xxxdna. The NES's 2a03 chip used digitally generated waveforms, square, triangle, and noise. Not FM like the Sega Genesis's YM2612 chip, champ#2.
Neither of which had anything to do with this video, BTW.

roland juno 60 was the best synth ever made with keys

isaacrife08 2 years ago
jp 8 was quite tasty or the jupiter 4 a band im into muse uses the jp8000 i fancy one of those mmmm mmmm
muse03 2 years ago
@muse03 i'm going to disagree and say jupiter 8 was the best analog synth ever made (besides the obx8, but even that's not as good)
i have all 3, and as much as i love my j60, and my x8, they'll never work/sound as good as my j8..
(oh, and btw.....the obxa was NOT the synth that van halen used to play 'jump'..) research more and find out...
(sorry, synthgeek shit)

these japanese blokes have it right.
they're teaching how to use the juno's arpeggiator to make some bad-ass robotic techno. (no, it definitely does not sound "wrong").

It's definitely a Juno 6 - look at the hipass slider. On a Juno 60, there are 4 levels (0-1-2-3), and on the Juno 6, it's fully variable.
