  • L200, with proper gear shitfting, and diferential locked, and proper tires..kills!!

the one in your video can't stand as a proper comparation sorry..but i know for sure...

yes subaru does whell on the diagonel tests but let's not mix things and claim that comparing to a dif locking...and a slow meachanical gearing which kills...on over 50 cm snow...ofcourse the tires must be also whell choosen..!

    nice video anyway..regards.

  • @stefanmatasaru

No L200 has a chance against that forester. It has center and rear lock, front helical lsd and 70 kg torque!!!

  • @suba400 i don't know i've drove allot the L200, on much bigger snow...but ofcourse with proper tires(continental cros contach with over 5 cm chanels)..and it had no problem...just need to say that this one from the video could do much better ..if proper equiped..and offcourse proper driven..

anyways hands down for the sub..it earns it's reputation..at least on diagonals...test is the king..which is very important in such adventures..

    regards.

  • @stefanmatasaru

That snow, was 3 months old. That was the problem. Forester has much more power and went further. Many times, the pictures doesn't say the troughth about snow!!!

  • @suba400 true that..the actual sensation can never be captured on a video..!

i know it ...i've captured allot of offroad, snow etc...but when i watch tem on tv home it never looks so exciting as the real ones..

also the snow, it it's a litlle bit older , on the botom, that means it's harder...you need a wide/good grip tire ..and for L200 i've recomended more weight on the back...

it has 60% more torque..on the rear..and it should have some help for the traction..!

    regards,

  • @stefanmatasaru

They tried with 4 persons on the back, but the forester's torque make the difference again!!!

  • @suba400 tested..on an offroad situation..the suby..but ofcourse no snow..only some mud..but i wasn't impressed by the elevation..on a spike pass..it actually stood bloocked ..some guys had to push me towards down hill..was funny, but like i said before..the coupling..combined with the proper torque sure does things whell on a situation like the one in the video..

    regards.

  • @stefanmatasaru

O.k, but that forester as i wrote before, has center lock 50-50 and rear very stiff diff almost 100%. And we are commenting that forester vs L200.:-)

  • @suba400 no you're mistaking, i never said L200 is better, that the Suby, they're also different class vehicles...just wanted to tell that the L200 could have done much better in that amount of snow, with proper tires/enough back weight/ proper gearing..etc...sorry if your understood something else.

Let's give to the ceasar what belongs to the ceasar!!!

    regards!

  • @stefanmatasaru

Yes, with more weight back is better, but with stock height can't be better than subaru in that old snow. We had both snowtires and power make the difference.:-)

  • @suba400 also funny thing...for the L200, the one we use as the company car...we've put a big concrete..plate in the back...over 200kg for sure...so the back side comprimation it's assured:::)))))

    have a nice day,

    regards.

  • What tires?

  • @Imnotsaidaouita

    Toyo R888!!!

  • @suba400 you had r888's on in the snow? wtf... lol worked pretty nicely ..wouldnt expect that even with awd

  • @rcrocker02

Ofcourse not. I just wrote that to an annoying. I am with snowtires everywhere.

  • FORESTER FOR THE WIN!!
