  • @94iamaranger this is horrible? you must be smokin' crack

  • @jaronwells13 truefully this is the worste crap i have ever heard in my entire life and im not trying to be funny or anything.

  • @94iamaranger Well if you think this is crap ! Well it was men like him that Got You your freedom and made it possible for you to eat Beef. but you got it so easy you couldn't stand on your mothers sholders to kiss his ass !!! He was my Friend and Rodeo partner and a Great Cowboy. People that knew him will realy miss him

  • Chris was one my favorites. He could bring the western livestyle alive in his songs.

  • 3 sissies have no idea what its like to actually work for a living or what its like to actually live

  • I was born in Kansas but I was raised in Wyoming and Colorado. I love all three states, but I always say with tongue in cheek, "Wyoming, where men are men and the sheep run scared!" Oh, and by the way, Broke Back Mountain WAS NOT ABOUT TWO GAY COWBOYS!! There's a difference between Cowboys and Sheep Herders!!! Real cowboys wouldn't be caught dead herding sheep! Just putting my two unwanted cents worth of opinion in and don't care if you agree or not! God bless the U.S. and our Troops!

  • Sometimes when I hear music such as this , I get the feeling I was born in the wrong century. I wish I was in the wild west as a trail boss or on a cattle drive.

  • @quietjedi1010101 Well you didn't have to be born in a different century, I've worked and rode many ranches, that besides an old truck and an occasional light bulb you wouldn't know it was the 21st century.

  • @joemama913 You ain't kidding it's like an alternate universe.

  • although the 3 ppl who disliked this are idots does anyone else see the dislike bar cuz i sure dont lol to many ppl like it

  • ive been all over america... the northeast, the southeast, the west.

and the west is by far the most country out of all of them. the south is too populated and modern, the north has always been that way... the west has the true country folk and real cowboys

  • @NYredneck17 Ha. You obviously haven't been to South Carolina if you think the west has the true country folk. The west? Maybe it used to be. Not anymore though. Maybe the most cowboys, but by far not the most country folk.

  • @2011UnboundGaming ive been through parts of it and its pretty modern modern. compared to the small towns in the middle of nowhere in wyoming and such, its a huge difference compared to the south

  • hwy 87 north of kayce south of buffalo. johnson county. 17 miles south of the jensen angus ranch.. my ranch.this cat lived right down the way from me i only met him once when i was a kid befor i knew who he was. my old man worked on the gordon ranch right outside mayworth and kinda knew him. wyoming thats is where real country lives. not in some fancy city in the south. i hate when people call them selvs cowboys just cause they where a hat and boots. cow boy is not a fashon. it is a life style

  • @jensen4567 amen i hate HATE people who were boots an hats an are like ima cowboy god bless well let me tell you i ride in an out of the areana an i have left alot of blood an sweat in the feilds an areanas an chutes if you passed me on the street you prob wouldn know i was a cowboy in less you asked but one cowboy to another you know when you see em

  • Not sure where Chris was born, but his mom and grandpa are from michigan. He spent a lot of time on a farm in michigan, his dad was a military man and he moved to texas I think in the 70's. 1976 bareback champ credits his fam in mich. The Garrets

  • I miss Chris Ledoux, he was a good man and a good musician. I've never seen a fence, there might be some, but I've never seen one, that would stop a stampede.

  • I can remember seeing this on CMT. In all honesty, I never thought Chris would even consider doing a song with Jon Bon Jovi. This song really blew me away. Then, my brother bought Chris' 20 greatest hits Cd, and this song was on it. We sang it a few times, but we can't seem to find it on karaoke. Can someone help me out here?....

  • Meh, he's a real cowboy, ask any Wyomingite.

Further than that, I would love to see the Bighorn National Forest renamed the LeDoux National Forest.

  • @zaphodb777 Chris LeDoux National Forest. That has a nice ring to it!

  • That's why a cowboy needs a good woman by his side

  • THIS is real country music. :-) None of that wannabe, pop crap.

  • @ShotgunAndAShovel amen to that brother

  • chris is the best

  • I love Chris LeDoux! he was really good at rodeo. But he was soooo much better at singing!

  • Had a chance to meet Chris twice and get his autograph face to face. He always looked at what he autographed, and actually commented on the picture I had. He really loved his fans, and really loved giving them his best. RIP Cowboy

  • Reminds me of the storm / stampede scene from Lonesome Dove. Awesome stuff.

  • Chris was a bronc rider/poet. before he was a singer. he turned his poetry in to music. then did the rest. he is missed, and a true Cowboy and legend.

  • OMGoodness, Love you all, Chris (RIP). Miss Peggy (& Family) I remember he first time, I EVER heard a Chris LeDoux Song...It was "Old Tom Horn" & I was freezing to death in the back of an old pick-up truck (in Yellowstone, with Tommy, my brother)!

  • This is to Larrissalove, Anybody who calls themselves a cowboy, and knows the meaning behind the words, Knows this mans music and his story. He lived it, He breathed it.

  • @espeeMTman amen!!!

  • Chris is loved and missed by all RIP My dear friend he is the true meaning of COWBOY!!!!!

  • Fantastic performer

  • So are you saying he isn't a real cowboy?

  • no im sayin that a real cowboy doesnt have to be a country singer. thats like saying im not a cowboy. i ride horses, herd cattle and drive tractor thats the way i grew up and the way its gunna stay. we are a dying breed but we r still here. just not known cuz we aint country singers. but yeah i sing to anyways and play my guitar. ... he is a real cowboy cuz of what he was before he started singing. but lets say people like paul brandt no he wouldnt be a real cowboy.

  • Dude, Chris was a world champion bronc rider, traveled with the rodeo for years ... universally accepted as a cowboy by all other cowboys.

  • Shortly after his death, LeDoux was named as one of six former rodeo cowboys to be inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs in 2005. He was the first person to ever be inducted in two categories, for his bareback riding and in the "notables" category for his contributions to the sport through music.

  • @TankedPyrat no she's saying that just because he sings that doesn't make him a cowboy its the other things hes done, he did a lot of cattle drives and was in his fair share of rodeos

  • @bikingmachine and Won a Bronc Riding Championship or 2

  • @larrissalove woah u kidding? hes true cowboy! bareback. rodeo man before he was a singer.

  • @larrissalove

yeah Ledoux is real. He won the world bareback riding championship.

    RIP

  • @larrissalove You say that, but what you don't realize is that Chris LeDoux did not start singing until rodeo injuries caught up to him after a 10-year rodeo career, right?

Do some research before slamming someone.

  • @larrissalove chris was a true cowboy before he was even a famed singer look him up swabby. 1976 bareback ridin champion bitch

  • @larrissalove he was also a world champ in bareback riding and also a bull rider and also had his own ranch in wyoming if that aint cowboy enough for you then somethings wrong with you

  • Comment removed

  • Yep... If only he was a world champion bareback rider.... oh wait! He IS!

  • @larrissalove only if i new were you live

  • @larrissalove he was a real cowboy, bronc busting, and I've read he lived on a ranch. Nice try trying to tarnish a dead mans rep though, real cool of you!

  • @larrissalove you have no idea about his life do you cause that is all he did and before he started sing he was bronco riding for a living and then he started sing get ur facts straight before u say something like that dumbass

  • well he rode broncs and was a championship rider. he was more cowboy then anyone in country these days

  • @deepwoodskentuckian amen to that i watched his boy ride when i was in wyoming back when he was stil alive but yeah aint no such as a cowboy in country now

  • Chris LeDoux is the man

  • the west livest

  • i think it would be scary as hell if you saw a stamped coming straight for you.

  • I don't think "scary as hell" would even begin to cover it--you'd best hope that you were right with your Creator. The old war adage "There are no atheists in foxholes" comes to mind; kind of doubt there are any in front of a stampede either!

  • hell yah thats about the best I have ever heard it put well stated

  • Why, thank you! My uncle is a cowboy in Western Nebraska--has been for well over 50 years--I'll have to ask him his opinion about this song sometime. He always has interesting commentary. Thanks again! :)

  • your welcome

  • I have worked cattle for a living for a while, and I think it is a great story of how it used to be, but now days when cattle get spooked, they dont really have that far to run before they hit a fence. Even on the most of the biggest outfits its not more than mabey ten miles. The lawyers and bankers have cut it all up. And cross fencing is popular now, to maximize your grass production.

  • @9111lliw Except when you have a couple of those high headed fence crashers leading the way.

  • @9111lliw more than bankers and lawyers, it's jews - waitaminit!!!! bankers - lawyers - they're both popular careers for jews, nevermind, you were right in the first place.

  • Ive been in a stampede (and worse) and I'm still an Atheist. I've never been scared so stupid as to believe in an invisable man in the sky, thankfully.

  • fuck you dude. do i tell you what to beleive? i dont give a good god damn what you do or dont beeive in. just get over it and let people have their beleifs.

  • Try spelling Believe and Belief right and I may actually care what your retarded ass is typing

  • i never claimed i was a genius dude. still are you really that pathetic that you have to come on to youtube just to argue with people if there is a god or not. why cant you just be content in your own beliefs. i dont give a fuck what you think is right just dont try to shove your beliefs down other peoples throats.

  • You're an annoying little ignorant twat

  • And yet you feel the need to keep replying to my coments.

  • yup im damn proud of myself.

  • Pitiful.

  • Chris LeDoux was one of those rare souls in the music business that actually lived his music.

Not too many artists of ANY genre can say that.

  • ldolphin34 Just to let ya know I wasn't bitch at you or trying to be mean just wondering that's all.

  • great song!RIP Cowboy

  • long live the memory of one of the best true cowboy singers there was

  • There's an awful lot of artificial country singers out there. They've got miles to go to meet Chris LeDoux's integrity.

Wyoming's finest. We'll miss you greatly.

    Signed,

KWYO 1410-AM night shift broadcaster 1981-1988

  • Oh wow. I can't believe someone actually had the guts to say "artificial country singers". I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner! Thank you so much for that.
