This is a great documentary. A great insight on parrots that have acclimated and established themselves in a country unlike their natural one.

It turned out that Connor's death didn't happen in quite as tragic a way as Bittner feared. He thought Connor had been killed and eaten by a hawk. However, a neighbor later said that she found a dead blue-crowned conure (Connor) in her yard about that time. She described him as a beautiful bird, and said he wasn't clawed or marked-up at all. She buried him among flowers in her yard. So although Conure died, it wasn't in a painful way.

this is some of the most influential music i've ever experienced. these birds are true inspirations. namely, connor, with his regal crown of bluuue. i love mark bittner's jean jacket and his extremely close relationship with tupelo. they call to me (they call to meee)

Mark Bittner said something profound that i feel truly speaks for every person who is an animal lover (or anyone who has ever genuinely loved an animal). he said that people often anthropomorphise animal behaviour by believing they 'feel' anything when the truth is animals are truly feeling, intelligent and unique sentient beings who are in so many ways like human beings. anyone who sees this film, understands and relates to this song about Dogen, Connor and Tupelo and knows that connection.

i seen the movie from netflex called "the wild birds of telegraph hill very nice movie but connor got killed by an eagle tragic ending

Absolutely wonderful song. These beautiful birds are legends and live on forever in this clip, which is a fitting tribute to them and Mark Bittner, the man who shared his life with them.

i really liked the movie, but i have to say i just loved this song with the video, makes me cry when i think of those beautiful birds, especially sickly one and connor...
