it stays on the chain because of newtons third law action = reaction my physics teacher showed us this one what happend is the action is that the ring gets friction with teh chain and because of that it causes the chain to in the end flip and go around the ring like it does thus staying on

any hardware store,... ask for "lamp chain" and get like 3 feet it's the ball and wire chain with a little connector,... also get the ring there too in the chain department or off the end of a hammock,

The ring does Not have to be that heavy. The trick is to let go with your Thumb, And make sure it only knicks the very end of your middle knuckle.

well, maybe,... I use a 2 inch ring, maybe 2 1/4, and a 3 1/2 foot chain,... I get the chain that long so I can wear this trick double looped on my neck with the ring in the center,... but change how high you hold the ring as you drop it,... small rings hold lower,.... keep trying,... let the one side, the thumb side fall first,...

send me a message telling what you're using and what's going on,... you must have a heavy ring and almost any small chain will work,.... don't hold it to high,... or too low,... and make sure your holding the chain so the opening in the chain is lined up with your fingers tips,....

ok,... I think a bigger ring and a shorter chain,.... but for now expiriment on how high you are holding the ring,.... with a small ring hold it lower,... I use a 2 inch or 2 1/4 inch ring and a 3 1/2 ft chain and I hold it near the center or just above it,... this trick works, you'll get it,.... keep me posted, make a fail video and I can help better,...
