i remember when I was little, my mom used to watch this all the time since my dad recorded it from the tv...then we got the dvd set not too long ago...i love this series! just amazing, I love sitting down with my mom and watching it. havent had the chance to read the book yet, but it's on my list of things to do :) (I really dont like the newer one they tried to make,...the actors werent that good and it left out WAY too much) <3

Lovely song, and excellent choice and editing of the images to go with it! The visuals you created go perfectly with the mood and it's changes as given by the music. (Pity the sound quality isn't perfect.) And I'm so glad you choose my favorite version, Colin Firth is so expressive that it works glorious with the music.

Lol, I think most of us girls would agree that the 1995 version had a "prettier" cast when it came to Mr. Darcy, lol! And IMO Jennifer Ehle is more attractive than Keira Knightley (and MUCH more suited for the role--I did think Knightley was too giggly and silly for Elizabeth), but that's just me.

I think Colin Firth is perfect as Mr. Darcy! I love how he gets this intense look in his eyes when he looks at Elizabeth and Jennifer Ehle did a fabulous job as Elizabeth Bennet. This version always draws me in. It is by far the best version of Pride and Prejudice and it stays so true to the book.

I like Keira Knightley, but she is too gitty and girly as Ms. Elizabeth Bennet. Jennifer Ehle did a wonderful Job! and no one could play Darcy like Collin Firth can, you fall in love with him every time you watch it. I don't like the man they chose for the new virsion. Nothing can top A&E.

A&E should do more of Jane Austen's books, they have proven themselves capable!

Absolutely beautiful interpretation of music and story. An hands down, the A&E version is far more faithful and considerate of Jane Austen's novel. I greatly disliked the American version and felt it had not a clue as to English culture and customs.

The music is a classical instrumental version of Mettalica's "Nothing Elese Matters".

No version can be compared to the first: No other actor can give life to Mr. Darcy, the way Colin Firth did. The second version is good for having a nice afternoon in front of your TV set and that's it.

Hope the US studios will not "experiment" with "Sense and Sensibility" and "Persuasion" too!!!
