  • What the fuck at 3/4 of these comments?

    Like I can read Mexican?

  • Okay. YouTube needs to DISABLE thumb downs on Queen videos!

  • <3

  • Moople and me; Mott the Hoople lives on! Great staccato guitar at begginning and half way through...but you know genius = 98% perspiration, so gotta go, have my own mountains to climb. God save the Queen!

  • Go, go,go, little queenie!!

  • like a lot of queens stuff infact most of it is fantastic never get sick of listening to it

  • 0:40 ~1:05, i got a new real shock, however i am on 2011 now

  • Hooooo i loooooooove u freddie :D

  • Je n'ai jamais connue Queen...mais pourtant j'adore!30 chanson dans les favorits google!

    (please translate with google translate!)

  • this song rocks

  • the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!! QUEEN THE BEST!!!!

  • 12 people isn't here...

  • Great Great Great SONG!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

  • Great.

  • omfg!!! best band ever

  • This song is just way sexy!! Goes along with Freddie for sure!! Queen is one phenomenal band!! Damn I miss Freddie!! R.I.P. friend!! Forever missed and forever loved!! ♥♥

  • inigualable

  • Am I the only one who hears just a hint of "Won't Get Fooled again" in this song? Brian May said the Who was a big influence on Queen. Both great bands.

  • @brianpage100 I don't know about Won't Get Fooled Again but this song is very Who-like. The rhythm and lead guitar work, the drums, the vocals and the dynamics of the song make it sound like it would fit well on the Tommy album. I'm thinking Amazing Journey.

I much prefer Queen's earlier stuff.

  • Sooo good at Vocals!

  • I can't believe that it was 19 years ago last month that we lost this amazing man...

  • Things the World needs:

    1. Peace

    2. Sex Drugs and Rock N' Roll back

    3. Clone of Freddie Mercury

  • @itsbridgetlogann you forgot #4: no AIDS

  • @maximumridechik True! How could I forget!

  • Regardless how many bands, how much money, Lazers... and how many shows I've been involved with, this was the best of all Stage openings I've ever seen. (I mean including Pink Floyd, Zep, all of them), Technically, it was LOW-TECH, I've spent my life trying to learn the skills to create MAGIC on stage. All because of this song on the Sheer Heart Attack Tour, in an intimate venue.

  • I was there, for the "Sheer Heart Attack" Tour, this song was the opening song. I wish there was full-live video. It was THE BEST Stage show, I've ever seen (and I've seen alot). Imagine, total blackout and the first line "now I'm here", and a spot shines on Brian May, then next & next "now, I'm here", finally, Freddie Mercury. The most genius I've ever seen in any stage production ever. (I've seen alot). It literally appeared that one guy jumped from one side of the stage to the other!

  • his voice was and now is INIMITABLE!!!

  • asa otras de mis tantas canciones favoritas.

  • This song always impressed me. Especially the way the "Don't I love you so, yes you made me live again" part is cut in half, and used to lead to the guitar solo's chord progression. It's fucking clever, and sounds awesome. That's what I love with Queen, their songs are well-composed, it's more than "let's do a verse, then a chorus, then a verse, then a chorus, then a solo, then a chorus". The variations are very intelligently though, and sound great.

  • One of their best songs LOVE IT X

  • i know freddy mercury has the best voice of all time, but this song is very slow, check out Def Leppard's performance at the tribute to FM, its fast and Brian May does a great solo, dont blame me, but Def Leppard made it better live

  • there are some times when even if your not having a great musical performance, get freddie in there, and no matter what, its a show.

  • I ♥ Queen

  • i need Freddies outfit! 0o0

  • @CentraCross you know, queen are so great, so you cant not steal, and use their ultimate works, it's like newton in math, you use his formulas so many times... so i think queen is somhow a kind of newton for the musican

  • @betafall He he. Well since music is evolving backwards (...) It would probably be such that Elvis is Hawking, Beatles is Einstein, Zeppelin is Newton and Queen in that case would have to be Galilei...

  • Comment removed

  • @CentraCross Never mind Green Day - they said on another "Now I'm Here" video that it was Radiohead who stole this intro...

    They're still the same - Millennium "Rock" = s**t.

  • I've just looked up the lyrics to this. I can't believe since the age of 18 in 1975 I thought 'Down in the dungeon is Peaches and me' was 'Down in the dungeon is Peters and Lee'. Hell am I disappointed......!

  • From 1974.

  • IMHO the best Queen album is "sheer heart attack", i heard it for the first time in the summer 1990 and this song remain one of my Queen top 5 song.

  • Stereo makes the intro to this song amazing

  • what a group

  • The best part of the song was 0:00 - 4:03

  • This is an awesome song, ily Freddie

  • i'm soooo in love with this song

as well as with Queen itself

  • @elpiometalgod and I'm In Love With My Car! ;) Queen is the best, And Freddie is the best of the best!

  • I love this song ^_^

  • RIP freddie !!

  • love this song

  • I loved Freddie's earlier looks, with the long hair, then shorter but still somewhat long. He looked much older than the other band members when he cut his hair short and grew the mustache. But the VOICE! Angel sweet in his youth, then full on adult voice, and both were and always be the greatest of rock'n'roll singing voices. Nobody can match Freddie, even now.

  • I am in love with this song

  • arnold layne dei pink floyd!!!

  • Great hair - great sound - like the album - but live : ^ )

  • jackson wz the kiNg oF pOp...freddie wz the kiNg oF rOckkk....

  • @alexanderaquarius No, Freddie Mercury is The God of The Rock!

  • the drums the bass the guitar everything is amazing

  • I love the bass in this song. Well done John.

  • Queen always thinks they have to lipsync their videos, come on jeeeeeZ.

We have all heard the albums, lets hear Freddy LIVE fuckers !!!!!!!!

  • Great song, so much energy, va va fkn voom!

  • Great guitar track.

  • what does jackson have to do beside a genious like freddy

he was good at dancing but theres no point of comparison

  • This song is fucking glorious

  • From Mother Mercury to the Seven Seas of Rhye, Blue Powder Monkeys and the Black Queen. These guys were the real deal. Screamin' Rock-n-Roll faerie tales. Give 'em a Sheer Heart Attack in heaven Freddy!

  • go go go little queenie (3:56) haha thats where i got my youtube name from

    ♥ queen ♥

  • This song is about Brian being in the hospital. It doesn't really relate in my opinion, but still AWESOME song!

  • one of the greatest songs at all

  • This and "Bohemian Rhapsody" are my favourite Queen songs.

    <3

  • "Down in the dungeon just Peaches and me"

thats not kinky or anything !

  • One of the greatest Rock songs of all time imho.

  • Temazo de Mott The Hoople!!!

  • i used to hate this song... now its my favourite

  • @craigrox99 why did u hate this song??

  • @craigrox99 How could you have hated this song?

  • @jamzal at first i didnt like 39'.... now i cant get enough

  • which song isn't epic

Queen = the best music ever

  • DONT I LOVE HIM SOOO????

  • every single one of their albums were epic.... the only one that didnt do so well was hotspace. anyway queen was one of the lucky few bands whose live performances were almost as good as their recordings if not better...

  • @dshiznitturk Delilah was a shitty song too... Just not enough power in it.. But the rest was good..

  • funnily enough, i've just spent an entire evening in a pub, ranting to a fellow lifelong queen fan, about how wrong it all went after 'news of the world'. glad you agree.

  • I think maybe after 'Jazz' in fairness, but yeah, thereabouts. Too much of the early stuff is passed over. I skived off school to be at the 'We Are The Champions' video shoot!!!

  • You mean that you was in New London Theatre Center?

  • Yeah, we were outside the New London Theatre in Drury Lane by about 9 in the morning to make sure we got in. I think doors opened about 5.

A fantastic day. Free copy of the single and the band played a short set after all the miming.

  • @FergR NO!!!!!!!! Ever listened to the album Innuendo? To my opinion the best album of queen, because of two perfect songs (innuendo and The show must go on) and the rest of the songs (These are the days of our lives, headlong etc.) are all good, except for that bloody delilah song.. And bijou is odd...

  • Sounds like you prefer the hideous pastiche 'Stadium Rock' band they became. To me they will always be the tight rock'n'roll band that produced the quality of 'Seven Seas..','Now I'm Here', 'Brighton Rock', through to the 'Day At The Races' stuff. Played to a proper dancing crowd at The Rainbow or somesuch not a distant band of minatures on a stage 100 yards away....

  • great song

  • Freddie was and still is the best performer on stage, its such a pity that I am from this era and haven't got the chance to see them live, and tell Queen including Freddie; how much they meant and still mean for me ... R.I.P for your music is the best and never to be another ... love you in our hearts <3

and your legacy and music shall be passed down to generations, I know I will even if I don't have any kids ... love you Queen and god Save the Queen <3

  • freddy you sing in my heart!

  • I remember buying 'Sheer Heart Attack' , the album that 'Now I'm Here' was on back in 1974. I just turned 50 and the song is as great as ever. Queens earliest stuff was the best.

  • Near your age - remember the same thing - buying SHEER HEART ATTACK in Australia - agreed - earliest stuff cannot be beat. Though heavily layered and musically complex, still retained such an arrogant roughness.

  • we miss you freddie . forever in our hearts @

  • I read somewhere that Brian wrote this song while in the hospital, is that true?

  • Brian was just getting over hepititis and was in hospital at the time of writing this.

Did you also know that Freddie wrote crazy little thinf called love in a hotel bath!!

  • Okay, thanks.

Yeah, it was a hotel in France. Soo funny!

  • Feliz cumple freddie :'(

  • qee bonitoo roger con ese pelo largo!! =)

  • estass cancioness son las ke te hacennn mover la cabezaa a lo locoo...ess una de lass mejoress!! (L)

  • LOVE. THIS. SONG

  • Just Fricking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • Looks like Freddie and Brian have got their christening garb on lol

  • Queen wouldn't be half the band it is without Freddie's voice.

  • SO TRUE

  • Freddie and members are so young !

    so fresh !

  • wow freddie looked great here.

when freddie had short hair and mustache he looked back on how he looked like in this video and he though he looked horrible.

    but he looks awsome (=

  • I think he only said that if he still had that look he will look old fashioned for his age.

  • sorry, michael, this works too!

  • 0:38 <3333

  • Freddie, your music is always actual.

  • mike jackson was great, yes, but freddy had THE voice!!!

  • @sheracad jackson was good but he was not as talented as Queen...or freddie by a long shot.

  • god I love you Freddie

  • the drums at the start are cool

  • so beautiful

  • It never mattered how Freddie changed his look, he was and will always be gorgeous. His voice, nothing can ever compare.

  • ahhahah are you joking???

    completely different...

  • Just listened to arnold layne, maybe they sound ever so slightly similar for the first 5 seconds, but they are completely different :P

  • I think an experienced drummer would be able to play this, it still might be tiring to play though, you might get knackered with that fast pace

  • awesome song

  • que locote

  • daaaaaaaamn freddie mercury is BEAST

  • someone be my bass player

  • QUEEN FOR EVER.

  • the extra film of them getting out of the car is really cool, where did you find it??

  • classic

  • Plymouth you need to get your ears checked man...this song and Arnold Layne sound nothing alike...though the intros are somewhat similar. but that's about it.. to call it a "blatant copy" is stretching credulity

  • wow... i didnt know this song before, now i love it. amazing guitar and drums

  • they are such a fabulous abnd

i bet this song was exhausting to play, its so fast paced.

    and its fantastic

an din the begining they all look lik ethey're 15 years old

  • On Queen Live at Wembley, Roger said he dread that song because it was the most exhausting to play--this is most likely the reason why Brighton Rock was before it, and Is This the World We Created was after it--to give Roger (and John) a break!!!

just a little fact, because you mentioned how it was probably exhausting to play!!

    Long Live ~QUEEN~

    Jessica F.

  • Didn't Roger say Staying Power was hardest?

  • You know, I am honestly not sure.... I just know that on Queen: Live at Webley, he mentioned that song was the most exhausting...but I should look into that!

    Long Live ~QUEEN~

    -Jessica F.

  • After posting my comment I watched the Wembley interviews and Roger said Now I'm Here was hard. He didn't say it was the hardest, though. There was another interview where he said Staying Power is just about the hardest song on drums.

  • Yeah. At first I listened to the song and sounded like a simple beat, then I listened again. There are bunches and bunches of accented ghost notes in the song. All of that going on is one thing that makes the song have such a cool grove to it.

  • Very awesome song, though I personally thought by the 80s their stuff went a little off... they became too cheesy, if you ask me. To me, The Doors were a better band - Jim Morrison was a mad genius, while Freddie was excellent, he was more of a showman, which was perfect for those glam-rock days. May they both rest in peace.

  • Such a tune!!

  • its not exhausting when i play it. its fun though

  • Roger Taylor said that this song is exhuasting to play.....it really sounds like it is!!! This should be on Rockband! YAY!

I ADORE this song--it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Long Live ~QUEEN~

    -Jessica F.

  • Sorry all you "Bohemian Rhapsody" fans, but this was the greatest song Queen ever recorded. (In my humble opinion)!

  • thats interesting...i think the live version on killers is the best version, but this song is great

  • NOT SAY THAT AGAIN! YOU SAID: "BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY IS A BAD SONG"! BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY IS A GREAT SONG! BUT FOR ME, THE BEST SONG QUEEN HAVE RECORDED IS GOOD OLD-FAHIONED LOVERBOY or MADE IN HEAVEN

  • Comment removed

  • whooa sweetheart,he didnt say that.borhap is bad.some people, like you even, have different opinions on what is best

  • lesson to all Queen will Rock always Freddie was awesome

  • One of Queen's most over looked gems . . . AMAZING SONG!

  • what a energy.thats roicks at all

    I ♥ Freddie!!!

  • Man, this song rocks HARD!

  • Buen video, buen hard rock

Jajaja, que no eres tu el del blog de Queen???

    Saludos

  • Love this song! Queen is AWESome!

  • Queen must have been BIG fans of Mott the Hoople! This song sound a LOT like Mott and even mentions Mott in the lyric. I wish Mott had received as much attention as Queen....the two bands toured together and recorded at least once that I know of.

  • vandaag 18 keer gedraaid ongeveer!

droomde ervan, wist niet eens titel meer. zoeken, vinden, dansen!

  • Freddy is the GREATEST

  • that is my favorite riff ever

  • how strengh this song has

  • what kind of a riff; don't look at any light, you might wanna puke!! i love 'em"

  • I love the sound of Freddie's voice when he sings "around, around, around, around, around."

  • damn awesome song!!!

  • best fucking riff EVER,they were onto something, werent they? some good lads

  • 70's awesomeness

  • umm does anyone else kinda find it funny how Freddy plays the air guitar with his mic when theres actually someone playing one right next to him?
