  • this is so bad. so so bad, please take it down.

  • lets just face it COMPLETE AMATUERS... oh and needs way more strings... shittest piano solo evar btw

  • A sound check and some more rehearsal time as a group so you can listen to each other would have been good but really great arrangement.

  • I think you pretty much nailed it

  • hey people watch my video i played yanni never too late in keyboard

    please watch and comment please

  • fucking shit :O :O

  • que desmadre se oye

  • where the sheet music for violin

  • Not a bad trial!!

  • You guys did a good job as a group

    Violinist were sick as hell

Karen Briggs wouldve been very proud.. However keyboard player and drummer

    Needs a lil more work

  • you kids are AWESOME!!!!!! sure their are a few mistakes, but it's YANNI, you kids ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!! holy crap!

  • mto doido!

  • That was great....except that you didn't quite play Shahradad's part :D

You know...you skipped some parts :D

anyway it was a great performance

  • The 1st violinlist's really talented!

but the keyboard player sucks!:( (the one plays the piano part.)

    I love this piece anyway!

  • keyboard player sucks:(....i love this piece anyway

  • guitar, piano and drums messed it up :(

    but ... great violins !!!

  • what can i say,, just perfect

  • if tats derek zhao at the extreme left...great stuff man! awesome...karen briggs (yanni's violinist..the one who played at acropolis..)wud have been proud! great job..keep it up!

  • how in hell they get the sheets?

  • good,

  • wow you all did really good considering you had to orchestrate this all by ear! amazing. it's sounded close to the original. you have a good ear :)

  • Wow. This is simply amazing for a high school performance. To be able to gather such talent and orchestrate such a performance by just ear is remarkable let alone at such a young age. And as a videographer I must say it still sounds spectacular even with a camera that wasn't meant for recording audio at these levels.

I hope every member of this band has continued with their talent.

    Cheers!

  • man I love this piece!!!!!!

    awesome perfomance!!!

    YANNI RULES!!!!!!!

    hahahaha

    love yanni

    love his music

  • pianist sucks!!

  • omg that was so great.

is there any way i can get the score.

    please

  • Great Job, ..YANNI's music always be nice to hear and enjoy to play it....it was a nice perform from you guys...jus take care of some small details like tempo, because a piece like this you don't need to make it in a "high speed" version...cheers!!

  • clap clap clap

  • mmmmmmmmmmm good ........

  • its not the same without a bright red dress!

  • That's a very goood orchestration! The timing is kinda off, but everything else is fine! Just be careful not to jump from 7/8 to 4/4 or 8/8!

If you want to check out my saxophone videos, go to my YouTube channel! I have about 31 videos!

  • but i loved the violin solos!

  • its pretty fast

  • wow nice.Great teamwork! I respect

you guys for the hard work

  • "Good". Yani must be very impressed....

  • not bad would love to have the violins sheet music for this song

  • pretty good work, thumbs up!!!

  • The drummer didn't do most of the "solo" that this song has in the drums. He should make more fills to his part to sound great. But anyways the entire song sounds good.

  • AWESOME!

congratulations! u guys are real musicians :)

  • they need to karen briggs for improve

  • LOLLLLLLLL

  • Very good guys, you are doing the best...Yanni's songs are so difficult but you are clever and don't give up..

  • Good choice of music, Yanni is amazing.

  • I am truly impressed! It's very hard to find anyone who can arrange an entire piece BY EAR! Congrats! Also, is there any possibility of getting the sheet music for it?? I am an absolutely HUGE Yanni fan, and and trying to learn Violin, and would LOVE to have the music to it. Thanks and again, CONGRATS! Great job!

  • nice

  • Awesome!!!! Would you be willing to share the violin sheet music? My daughter is a 6 year old violin virtuoso and a die-hard Yanni fan.

  • Shouldn't a virtuoso be able to play from ear?

  • why are they going so fast???? i think they are great but fast!

  • Yeah, i think they were a little faster than the original too, but still great. ^^

  • that's how fast it's supposed to be played

  • Not bad at all.... thumbs up!

  • wow man..good job on this, very VERY good job

  • good actually, but the part where the sound that like a piano somewhere around 1:52, some of that part was out of tune. but the overall was pretty impressive. is this some highschool band? also, if you could post the music sheet for the melody would be awesome. if you have it in alto clef it would be much appreciated by me. but treble clef is fine also.

  • you gys should have gone to like the one show...''americas next great band'' or sumthing like that i forgot its name

  • not bad!

  • Cool!

  • Like it VERY MUCH

  • Yani is proud of you. Somewhere, Yani is smiling. I recommend that Yani come see you and talk to you.

  • caralho... foda o gurizao

  • Wow, hey musicdude1701, would you happen to have the sheet music for the solo part of the violin that was performed? I'd really appreciate it if you could send it to me.

  • Good job~

    I like the speed.

(Every time I listen to this piece of music I found myself hearing (about the middle) the first line of notes in the Christmas hymn "Wenceslaus"... I want to know if Yanni intended this or not...)

  • What is this? They are away of Yanni. But, I wish them Good look!

    Ecaterina Romania

  • that girls voice is sooooooo shrill=/

  • Hell yeah! I so felt like holding my ears. She should have shut the fuck up & let the boy say that.

  • @nilay108 you mean shrill? :-D

  • Wow... that must have felt so great:)...

  • AAWESOMMMMMMME

    !!!!

  • This is proof that when you practice, you become great! Also, don't laugh at the person who's at home in their room learning to play an instrument, you just might be buying a ticket to a future concert. Excellent job people!!!! Keep it up.

  • lindo

  • Congratulations, this is the best school's band performance I've ever seen. Please, let me know about future projects or ideas and,if you want, visit my channel. One more time,Kngratulations and the best, regards from Mexico

  • I'm really speachless! The violins sound amazing, you guys really did a good job, amazing I should say! Congratulations

  • Awesome guys. Keep up the good work ^_^

  • talent extraordinaire !

  • nice frase

  • keep up

  • I hope that Yani is watching this video. yani probably is very impressed.

  • He he he he ur right man and you made me laughp. ^___^

  • buen video me gusto

  • WOW. This group is a genius. Are they really a real band / orchestra? I'm a great Yani fan. If Yani heard you attempt to play one of his songs, "Within Attraction", he would be very impressed. Somewhere beyond the audience, Yani & Karen Briggs are smiling at you.....

  • haha not bad dude!!

considering this are just high school kids, without any external sound control!

  • To play a Yani's musical piece by ear is so amazingly great. Keep up the good work. Yani and Karen Briggs are smiling at you somewhere beyond the audience.

  • This is an excellent re-make of Yani's song, "Within Attraction". These High School guys are terrific. Not exactly as good as Yani's Orchestra, but very unique. I'm sure that Yani and Karen Briggs are smiling at these yougsters somewhere beyond the audience. Yani may come and congralute them personally. It's beautiful how good a job these youngsters done to keep Yani's music sounding great.

  • I'm sure somewhere, Karen Briggs is smiling. I'm sure Yani is very impressed. Sounds just like Yani, but at a faster pace. expect Yani to visit and meet them.

  • Wow, nice job - all of you! That's my favorite song from Yanni. He sounds almost exactly like Karen Briggs - amazing!

  • I'm sure Yani would be very impressed to hear someelse, "High School Students", playing one of his famous pieces in music.

Three god stars to this group playing Yani's music by ear.

    jkmlight

  • GREAT!!!

  • Great job

  • wow, amazing. good work on the arranging too.

  • To arrange that on your own is FANTASTIC! Wow. I am speechless, guys.

  • Every time I see this video, I am amazed that high schoolers could play this well. Especially a Yanni piece.

  • haha yeah me too exactly!!

im even getting suspicious (not seriously) that it was prerecorded..but even if it was..that is AMAZING for high school kids

  • That was a really nice try. Wish Derek gets a wonderful chance..

  • very very nice!!!]

  • that's really good! I can't believe you did all of it by ear, I'm trying to do yanni's "marching season" by ear to do it at a talent show, I just need someone to form a band with... :)

  • O_o You guys are really REALLY good! Congrats!

  • Oh my god, Derek, you are a legend, you are playing at almost twice the speed of the original, and you are also playing both Karen Briggs and the Iranian conductor's parts. You are one talented violinist. Congratulations.

  • GREAT!!! REALLY SOUNDS LIKE YANNI!! but the crowd is too NOISY!

  • Fabulous. It takes talent to arrange a Yanni piece by ear. I've done it a couple of times, but the only successful one was Standing in Motion. Keep it up. You're gonna be a great violinist one day.

  • Fantastic. Takes skill to arrange a Yanni piece by ear. I've done it a couple of times, but the only successful one was Standing in Motion.

  • Tocaron chido, nadamas que iban muy rapido, y en esa rola es algo lenta, pero tocaron chido

  • quem sabe um dia

  • Wow! The violinist is brilliant; wow, I'm really impressed. Wow!!

  • pretty good

  • The song was played too quickly, but the timbre was excellent.

  • THAT was impressive! I love how instead of having the two violins at the end, they have the violin vs. the guitar.. Amazing! ^0^

  • This was an amazing performance. Please get in touch with me for a small gift. thank you for making good use of youtube.

  • continuem treinando !!!!

  • nice.... the violonist was fabilous...

  • Excellent performance, congratulations..after seen this video i acknowledge that in Venezuela( my homeland) there are a few orchestras performing that piece of music by Yanni.

  • You guys were FANTABULOUS!!!! I am such a big fan of Yanni's work(have about 50 songs of his)...and I was so thrilled to see high school students perform one of my all-time Yanni favorites....I also liked the violin duel against the guitar(as compared to violin against violin in Yanni's original)

Y'all are the greatest...Keep up the good work.

  • and oh yeah, GO JORDANNNNN !!!!!!

  • GO DEREK !!! GO PANTHERS !!!

  • AND DO THOSE GUYS ARE ACTUALLY A BAND? THE GUY WHO PLAYS THE VIOLIN CAN BE BIG AND FAMOUS

  • amazing music, but that women who takes at beginning, sounds like as if she has a mouth width of a football goal

  • lol

  • Wow! That was amazing, almost sounds like the Acropolis DVD!

  • WTF !!! it's amazing!!!! congratulations, it sounds exactly Yanni. Congratz to the violinizt!

  • wat is the music name, its amazing

  • "WIthin Attraction" by Yanni.

  • 'Within Attraction' by Yanni

  • OMG. You guys are wicked! I absolutely love it!

  • hmmm... interesting! check out my stuff too.

  • Well.. I am a big fan of Yanni as well and the only think I can say is...Very Good. I gonna go to Yanni's Official website and ask him to see you guys. Did u think about that? U may get to know him face to face... let me try.

  • that was amazing- it sounded exactly like the original Yanni / london symphony performance at the Acropolis (Greece) years and years ago.

  • that was very good

  • Extremely Impressed..! I would've dropped dead if the violinist played that crazy violin solo! But wow.. Very Impressive! Love it! :)

  • One of the best Yanni cover songs i have ever seen. To even attempt to play a Yanni song is very courageous of you kids. An amazing performance! Bravo!!!

  • The drums are the only thing that's in the way.

Definitely great, all things considered though. Worthy of Yanni.

  • very cool indeed but i wasnt there to see it so yea but yea...lol but well done...hey ur like me u listen by ear....thats wat i do alot of the time

  • very cool. very awesome. I got the pleasure of being in the audience for this live.

Yeah, definitely better live. I like how the bow shredded up a little by the end of it.
