@asdf331331 they wouldn't have hired the actors if they needed pitch-correction. They recorded the singing live as he was doing the scene. So if there was any pit-correction or autotune, it was because jim sturgess was too busy acting his ASS off to worry about pitch.

They would have had to have a microphone a couple of inches from his mouth to get that sound quality and all those different camera angles weren't all filmed at the same time either, that's not how films are made. He is lip-syncing to a pre-recorded vocal. There is indeed a ton of Auto-tuning here and on many of the songs on the soundtrack. It made me not able to enjoy the film.
