@dikumbisakidila1 there's actually a reason babies generally look like their dad. it's to reassure the father that the child is his (as it's obviously the mother's being in her stomach) and as a result the father gives parental investment into their child. yay anthropology

@mimersteamer234 because it's in the male animal's best interest to have lots of offspring and mate with lots of females in order to have a greater chance of passing down their genetic code. whereas females can't have as much offspring as males due to a smaller amount of eggs to sperm,so its in the females best interest to have a few children, taking care of them as much as possible in order to increase their survival rate and a partner helps with that, thus the need for the kid to look like dad
