Just got the 4" version of this gun and love it. It's a fucking beast and makes people jump when I fire it at indoor range I go to, lol. Only downside is the ammo price, 20 bullets = $42 for the cheapest ammo (at FCO).

comment on the description: its not only about how many grain a bullet has but also how many and which powder you load. this is also very important if it comes to recoil. so a really really hot loaded 350grain bullet can kick harder than a light loaded 440 grain bullet for example...

@gruntspy44 bad idea to just buy it without shooting it first. before I bought my shotgun I had only shot a 22, I didn't expect it to kick 40 TIMES AS HARD. with a 500 magnum it's gonna kick about as hard as 12-gauge birdshot which is about 20lbs or recoil, the 44 magnum only has 14lbs of recoil

Hi Lee. This video is wrong on so many levels. If this revolver was to discharge while fingers are over the area where the cylinder face meets the barrel you can lose a finger from the escaping gas and flash. This guy needs to reread his manual. He is presenting the revolver as loaded as has his thumb and fingers up and down that area, what a disservice to the novice shooter. He should take this video down and start over. Google "Smith Wesson 500 fingers" and see the videos.

you need to brush up on your own safety, you had your finger on the trigger as soon as it was out of the box. You also stood there talking about how the first thing you need to do is check to make sure it's not loaded instead of actually doing it. It's not a "bullet" it's a cartridge. Really I give up I can't watch anymore. Nice idea and decent effort though.

I quickly checked the video, after reading this as what you say is true and I didn't remeber putting my figner on the trigger. I saw what you said and immeadiatly investigated. Well the gun is heavy, so when I pick it up I use my index finger to help support the weight of the gun. It is outside of the trigger guard, it is actually holding the frame just above and to the right of the trigger. then once the gun is level, I I bring my finger all the way out. However your point vaild and duly noted.

I of course checked the gun prior to making the video, I was trying to make the video as step by step as can be by doing the step as I explained it.

Your correct on the bullet issue my mistake, I often fuddle those terms up between casing, round, bullet, and cartride. I will add annotations marking the correct term.

Your input as well as anybody else's is greatly appreciated. The whole point of these vids is I'm tired of people saying they didn't know or the gun fired by accident.
