  • you should all be ashamed of yourselves

  • This is one of the very best movies I have ever seen, I only saw it on TV and regret bitterly I didn´t record it, because I can´t stop thining about it even though it is about two years now... It was great to have the subtitles on TV, too.

  • Another trailer for this. Prefer this one but colors are different.

  • I saw the live performance of this in London in '05. Totally gripping and a sensational way of presenting Monteverdi. Enthralling being a voyeur on a whole load of tricky relationships. As others have said ..wonderful voices. Well done Robert Hollingsworth !

  • I saw the original in Liverpool. My Auntie is Anna Crookes. Who stars in this. Her voice is fabulous. They all are. Such a pleasure hearing such good music. and wonderful voices.

  • haha i'm in this! (albeit a quick flash in the trailer!)

was so amazing to be involved in the making of this video and to hear them sing for free all week!

    :-)

  • I saw the original "The Full Monteverdi" live in Brighton - a staging of Monteverdi madrigals, performed around the audience in a cafe setting. Indeed, at first you can't tell performers from fellow audience! Singers are paired with actors, and they act out their own private quarrels and, sometimes, reconciliations. The best bit of live theatre that I have ever seen, and I am dying to see the film. Baritone Bill. P.S. I wasn't involved in The Full Monteverdi in any way - I'm just a fan!

  • Great idea! Grand' idea!

  • What is this? Certainly unusual. I guess it doesn't have a happy ending.
