  • Nice choice. Incidentally, it's pronounced Ca-TUL-lus (accent on second syllable). The poem seems to be based on, or in reference to, two poems by Catullus, number 7 (Quaeris quot mihi basiationes) and number 48 (mellitos oculos tuos, Iuventi). The first is a love poem to a girl, the second is a love poem to a guy. I guess it's not a very surprising amalgamation coming from Byron.
