  • Awesome. The old school is the best school.

  • I think that the old school hiphop is very, very better than new school, I do living in BRAZIL and here we listen Gangsta rap cuz of crimes like ,rape, estealing and many other violence types.

Gangsta rap lives in my heart.

Fuck who's do not like Gangsta rap.

  • Frrrrrresssshhh.

  • I find that people who say biggie and 2pac were the best rappers are usually people who jumped on the gangsta rap bandwagon, rarely people who actually grew up with eighties and nineties hip hop. 2pac was more famous for being a digital underground dancer and the movie juice before he put out california love. biggie's legacy is mostly created by puff daddy in his shameless use of BIG's death to elevate his own status. IMHO, naturally.

  • Now this is real hip hop, lil wayne and wiz khalifa can go suck a dick.

  • Hell Yea! Turnin it up

  • Wild Thing HELLZ YEA!

  • I was expecting Old-School Hip-Hop :/

  • this kinda rap is way better than any nowadays!

  • haha at the top comment

  • This is way better than that auto-tuned bullshit. I usually don't like rap but that's because it's so sucky nowadays. I like the old rap tracks. :3

  • @djtonetone231 -I agree with you brah. I'm tired of these none knowledgeable kids today saying ''every era has it's great rapper'', BULLSHIT. After the mid to late 90's hip-hop became a fucking joke. No more lyricist (besides underground) no substance,no creativity, or soul. this shit is all about commercialized mainstream garbage.Motherfuckers like lil wayne, gucci mane, waka flocka,t.i. plies, kayne west and all these other sellout bubblegum music producing clowns. controlled by the elitist.

  • @str8outtatexas1 Mos Def

  • Pigmeat Markham was the first rapper?

  • An auditory delight!

    Thank you so much! :D

I'd love to go back in time.. back to the 70's and be with the old school kids! :D

  • wheres 2pac?

  • @AaronTheTravis

2pac is not old school or he did any tracks in the 70s or 80s?

  • @zer0nable I think he may have made some in the 80's im not too sure though :)

  • @AaronTheTravis

his firs 12 inch came out in 1991 , called "Trapped / The Lunatic"

    i'm sure

  • @AaronTheTravis

his firs 12 inch came out in 1991 , called "Trapped / The Lunatic"

  • @AaronTheTravis Believe it or not, youngster, Hip Hop had existed for 20 years plus before 2Pac ever dropped a track. Bloody Pac lovers. Idolise a VERY average rapper.

  • @JayGriffinblaze Lol 2pac and biggie were the best rappers of all time, don't deny it ;) you bloody poop nose

  • @AaronTheTravis whatever you say youngster....... Pac & BIG WEREN'T the best, but at least you didn't say Lil Wayne or Emnem.

  • @AaronTheTravis Name ONE year 2pac had the top album. 1991 was the year I finished high school and Terminator 2 was at the theater on 2 Screens. That Summer 91, My Minds Playing Tricks on Me was the top hit across the Rap WORLD. 2pacalypse Now came out 91,the album FLOPPED. The rapper that took the crown for 91 was ICE CUBE's AmeriKKKas Most Wanted. DRE and SNOOP ran 92,93 with THE CHRONIC and DOGGYSTYLE. 94 was Biggie's Year, 95 Only Built For Cuban Linx took the crown. 96 OUTKAST Aliens.

  • @Bombalino73 I remember living in L.A. in the 90's and 2Pac was bigger than every single artist you mentioned back then. As a matter of fact he still is now.

  • @Bombalino73 excellent breakdown. If you were old enough to be have access to music during that time, you'd remember 2Pac really not being that big a deal. I for one gravitated towards the 'skills' group of West coast hip hop, as opposed to the gangster or G-Funk model - there was much superior music & many artists to choose from, 2Pac was an optional artist 4 listeners then, funny how nowadays ppl go on like he was the Jimi Hendrix of Hip Hop or some shit!

  • @JayGriffinblaze EXACTLY! I couldn't have said it better! The Jimi Hendrix of rap...lol !

  • im glad that im 14 but is only into oldschool shit.... all 80's and early 90's rap/hiphop

  • @RetroFingerboards same! also like old rock & metal.

  • @RetroFingerboards Same 4 me much better then all the new crap.

  • love them all,, but where is Eric B and Rakim at? they where the 1 of the best!

  • Im Officially making a Remix of Fuck the Police it's gonna be Fuck The Government Thumbs Up If u agree

  • @Thomas76930 no i dont agree coz ur gunna fuck up a classic

  • rap has changed so much

  • people don't appreciate good music these days they just like new fake rappers i bet 100 bucks t-pain cant freestyle he needs a computer for his voice

  • Very nice.

  • FU.CK tha PO..lice

  • old school > new school.

    today is shit

    that time is classic!

  • hahah holy shit

  • this is the real sht

  • This is THE real Hip Hop/Rap, not Justin Beiber. :3

  • que buenas rolas cabron vieja escuela saludos desd mexico

  • icee cube!!

  • N.W.A. was the shit !!!

  • wow A mazing

  • nwa best of all on here

  • Damn right there are no dislikes.

  • man i grew up to with these songs until 2 pac eminem 50 cent dr dre snoop dog all all these people ruined rap and hiphop

  • @ryanWeap snoop ruining hip hop?..he was one of the dopest mcs of all time man 50 didnt ruin hip hop..at all ether your just dumb for that.and 2pac never killed hip hop he was a monumental figure.. dr dre never killed it ether he rolled with nwa man come on you got now kowledge. it was lil wayne solder bumb... those are the two main guys who destroyed it

  • @bboydizzy69 dude tupac was the lil wayne of the old ages. he was pure mainstream. he was good compared to todays ages. but i agree snoop was ill. im scared that when wayne dies itll end up the same as pac. cause all the real hip hop fans back then didnt even listen to pac

  • @j4ckr4bbit Word! Say that to these youngsters and they attack like you just called Jesus the antichrist or something!! lol You didn't need to listen to Pac's contradictory Gangsta rantings when you had FAR superior emcees rhyming about all sorts of topics....with skill and decent music production.

  • @JayGriffinblaze Biggie and Pac may not be the greatest rappers that ever lived, but they are definately the most respected within the industry. Opinions are opinions but you can't argue with respect.

  • @jazmethodz True of course, but when you say 'most respected' I doubt it's any different from the respect Chuck D, or Rakim, Thought, KRS, Buckshot, GZA, many others have still living, regardless of their levels of success. I think you have to seperate 'recognition' & 'contribution' from 'popularity' & 'success'.

  • the times when hip hop was cool

  • 2 live crew

  • no no no run dmc should have been in the top 5 wtf is with this list

  • no rap songs are from the 60's becuz rap started in 1973 and it was mainly juz MC's at parties at that time so correct the description

  • @new5york5hip5hop this is hip hop

  • May u name some of the best / iconic rap performers/groups. pls. Greetings from Peru.

  • idk there are many... but i think that the best lyrics come from: public enemy, mc hammer, N.W.A., maybe some of eminem's first songs, afrika bambataa, grandmaster caz, wu-tang clan and so on.. there are many
