  • cute .. like your clip .. keep it up =)

  • Quite honestly i like GM always have always will they build good products... but that being said each and everone of the auto manufacuters should take a good long look at a company like John Deere the company is a strong strong company and stays there by making good decisions and just keeping a customer orientated business Just Saying might be comparing apples to oranges but i think there is a few things they could learn from them

  • Music track playing is "Over Distant Shores" composed by Bjorn Lynne.

  • great video..very interesting..thanks!

  • Now, the head of GM wants to levy a .50-$1 per gallon tax on gas to "encourage" people to buy their "fuel-efficient" cars that nobody wants! Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! MOST Americans were against bailing out GM, and now our children and, quite possibly, THEIR children will be paying for GM's mismanagement and UAW's greed. I'll NEVER buy another GM/Chrysler product -EVER! I'd walk first.

  • Yeah & GM now wants to give it's executives more money & bonuses. While plant workers make less now & employee's who work at the GM/OnStar call centers on the US get paid less(starting pay is around $9/10 an hr.) How are people supposed to survive on chump change while the executives & etc make more cash.

  • I'm amazed that the dislike bar is bigger than the like bar. Can they honeslty not see why it would be a bad idea not to have bailed them out? Our economy would be in worse shape, national debt much higher, unemployment higher, services cut... And of course it would be Obamas fault you know...

  • To this day it fucking amazes me on how many people still dont see why the domestic auto industry is important..The ratings for this video tell the sad truth of how brainwashed people are and how they continue to vote against their own intersts. This country is fucked! To many people with shit for brains!

  • @breakbeater313 you are exactly right. i wish there were more people like you in this country. fuck all those ignorant assholes that dont listen to reason. if you dont like it.......LEAVE! If you already do not live here, i hope i never live to see the day you set foot on U.S. soil.

  • I would not buy a GMC if it came with Free Pussy... F the Feds and their fascist ways. Calvin Coolidge should have never let then greedy killers in our pockets. and they need to be audited where did the get the backing to print cash to bail out GM in the first place you cant print money if you have no gold or ASS ETs to back it up... and guess what by law we owe the FEDS nothing ... but they owe us our economy back..... send them evil shit heads to Prison.

  • Let GM die a nonviable business w/ Unions involved and upper management in charge of designing crap cars.

  • @KrazyHorse305 While Toyota pumps out recall after recall after recall? Japanese quality went down the shitter over 10 years ago. Toyota's problems started long ago and the media is just picking it up NOW? And what does Honda design that isn't a complete wuss mobile? The worst line up of pussy trucks and SUV's in the world. Look at the crap Japan and Korea are pumping out: CRV, Cube, Element, Soul. You buy a Kia and the thing is ready for the scrap yard in 4-5 years.

  • Maybe GM should start over with a Motorcycle.

  • The US auto industry was in dire straits during the depression, but we managed to convert to wartime production really quickly. Besides, the factories which make tanks and planes do NOT also make cars. We have an oversized defense industry as it is.

  • Ford can't be compared to GM, GM is an out of control corp, we fund it, bring it back, we hope and then the new CEO gives us "best car wins" and an add from a football guy that has already sold his image to Radio Shack? GM is dead, long live Ford!

  • I am 14 years old and live right outside of Detroit and believe me I know more about the auto industry than anyone on here. I'll be straight forward and say yes we fucked up but that's not the plant workers fault that's the CEO's and designers fault. GM and Ford now produce cars that are better quality and fuel efficiency than there Japanese counterpart. I've seen too many friends and family members lose jobs to the auto industry because everyone thinks that the Japanese cars are better.

  • true

  • make better cars, come down on the prices, its just a car not a frickin house, take all the excess garbage out them, give us a car with good gas milage & a cd player..thats all ya need, and dont charge 20 30 40 thousand for it,no wonder people are in debt.

  • One more thing......Made in America..what a joke... good luck finding that shit

  • When Inflation hits this false economy its gona be hell to pay! People need new cars, but when Inflation hits they wont be able to afford them..The Feds are destroying their own economy by this mass printing of non value money. This country needs a super hard dark depression to clean the system..only then we will see the "change". The destruction of the central bank( aka) the FED is the only way to get this country back on path to better days.

  • This is bullshit...As resident of the Metro Detroit area, I understand what the Big 3 bring to the table. But their demise is going to happen regardless of Fed "bailout"..In my oppinion they should just let them FAIL. All the Fed is doing by these bailouts is prolonging the end. The economy will not turn around any time soon..The value of the Dollar is sinking due to all these bailouts. You cant just print money outa thin air people! All that does is cause inflation..Its not if..its when!

  • Before you know it this country will have nothing made in America. For some unknown reason we are now going to do offshore drilling in Brazil for oil. Whats wrong with doing this in America. This is no longer a Democracy. Its a Dictatorship!

  • If you knew anything about GM "General Motors" You would know that their CEO is Fritz Henderson and the company is projecting profit this time next year. Guess what company is not projecting profit...TOYOTA!

Out of a Job yet??? Keep buying foriegn.

  • What's sad about that statement is that there is so little made in the U.S. anymore. New car parts are shipped in from Mexico and other countries, made in America right? I would gladly buy a new Chevy if I knew all the parts it was built with were made in the U.S. Thank companies like GM for outsourcing their parts which cost thousands of American jobs. If you look on the products you buy in a typical day they won't say "Made in America". So you and everyone buy foreign every day.

  • Let em' Fall. With that much money to be made new companies will emerge. The biggest problems are the unions. If the company is profitable then its no problem, but when the UAW supports a candidate that spends my money to keep the UAW workers afloat so that they can continue to have jet skis, and harleys, and boats, and maybe even a cottage "Up North" (as we call it in Michigan...) I say no. NEVER again will I buy a GM car EVER. What a joke.

  • I don't think you would feel this way if you were an employee of G.M.! You must not be an American either.Pretty sad and you probably have a mansion in New York.

  • love it!

  • what did obama make this video too? Well if they would build a better car. i owned 4 gm car and had nothing but trouble, sold them all and bought a toyota, and the wife a honda, two great cars i haven"t had any trouble with for the past 9yrs. fuck gm, they brought it upon them selves!!!

  • Losing a non-profitable and corrupted company will do wonders for America.

  • Buy American.

  • Hey-let's bail out any American company that needs money from poor management, neandrathal-age products (Hummer's, enormous PU's, SUV's) and ignores CO warming. Am also confused in the support America thing-so does that go for GM cars in Europe, Latin America-what if those folks do the same and stop buying IMPORTETED American cars. Then GM will go from Chapter 11 to Chapter 7 lickety split. Answer that fellow American's with average IQ of 98.

  • Look around you at your neighbors and fellow Americans. Do we honestly wish to give our actual US hard earned dollars to a foreign car company when we buy a vehicle? When we buy American, we actually keep our neighbors working . When we purchase a car from a foreign car company, they take our money right out of this country.

The US auto makers are in trouble because the Americans are giving blase excuses on why they wish to buy imports. Yes, excuses!! Put your neighbors to work!!

  • USA(United States of America) ↓

    SSA(Socialist states of America)

  • Who made this video - The Government?

They say in this video, that if the taxpayer does not give the auto industry 25 billion, then they will lose 150 billion ? Another threat . Look guys, no one is going to buy new cars for a very long time, no one has any fuking money . Under Bush's watch we have created a false 'debt based' economy . We need to start again and unfortunatley let the businesses fail that have not saved for themselves and took the right measures .

  • According to Reuters, sources say that GM (NYSE: GM) will likely file for bankruptcy some time after midnight tonight and before June 1

  • I see one particular problem here. 239,000 people for for auto companies, while 775,000 people live off of it while producing nothing for it. Absurd union power is one of the inefficiencies of American auto companies that has gotten us into this mess. These selfish people in the union business would rather see the companies go bankrupt than give up any of their salaries or amenities (golf courses, retreats) paid for directly by union dues.

  • Correction Johnny: 239,000 currently work for the big three, but the auto industry also supports their spouses, and Children(HS and under). This is addition to retirees that are on pension. The unions have made concessions. And start pay to work in a 95 degree assembly plant, with the injury risk is lower than most administrative assistance.

  • We eat Hanberger in McDonald.

Should you permit Exclusion of McDonald?

Japanese company of car is severe too.

    Japanese car bashing is wrong.

  • if american peoples buy american car everything will be better. Why you buy japanese car?Buy american or europea car

  • not long now, time is almost up

  • Funny how a small recall for GM is major news, but when the parts to a TOYOTA TUNDRA RUST out after 80,000 miles. No one gives a damn.

  • Instead of handing them money. how about we all contact our members of congress.? We ask them instead of loans, we get vouchers good towards the purchase of a new vehicle. GM wants 25B , so lets add in $25 for Ford and Chrysler. At $5000 each, that would be 10 million possible customers

  • Vouchers? Paid for by who? The government? The ones who take your taxes, pay themselves, and give you back diddly squat? A voucher is paid for by taxes, and only taxes. Is that how you see it? Why don't you just save up your money and buy a car, and keep the government out of it?

  • The money has already been appropriated. to be handed out to GM and Chrysler.

So what you are saying is that you prefer companies that dug their own grave due to bad business practices be handed more funding to burn away instead of giving the funds to the people who will be real ones who drive more auto sales?

  • morons, the big 3 invest about 200 billion annually into this country thru R&D which keeps us globally competitive & the patents here. Japan manipulates their own currency in an effort to drive your own auto industry under, the same ones THAT DID get this country through world conflicts

  • HAHAHA, they make it seem like if we don't give them the money the Nazis, Soviets and all the other evils in the world are going to distory the US. WHAT A JOKE. Save us or the the world is going to end.

    what losers

  • The Broken Window Fallacy to a T. What about all the lives, jobs, and economic progress you destroy by all those tax dollars. GM are just rich thieves.

  • GM recalling 1.5M vehicles over potential fires hmm I wonder is it because they suck at producing reliable cars and guess who's fault , management.

  • Who every made this video. Message:

OH WELL??? Who cares? If the big 3 go under, the japs will make up for the difference. And so will the Germans.

They will start opening up factories here in the US because their sales will rise. So nothing is going to go wrong there. Just the Germans and Japs will make up. NP.

Look, Everything has got to come to an end sooner or later.

And its time now. Its time. The big 3's time have come. Just let them die. Everything will be fine

  • problem though, Toyota and Honda and Audi dont build factories over night. The big are a major part of our economy, especially Michigan. Once GM and Chrysler go, Michigan would face skyrocketing unemployment, we would be in a state of emergency.

But ford will live at least.

  • Uh, yeah they will when their sales sky rocket 200%!!!

Which will happen. We need less shit on the road- and that means more Ford and Japanese cars and less GM's and Chrysler's!!!

  • fuck you kid. japanese cars are shit in my books.

  • buzz off. Most american cars are shit in my book. Read: GM and chrysler

  • You jack off to the brochure of the 2009 sienna?

  • You perv. Get away. i don't wanna fucking see you around me or my channel, you buttnugget

Go buy some GM stocks while their cheap, you pussy. Cheaper then toilet paper I presume.

Who the hell would like a company whos stocks are cheaper then a roll of toilet paper?

  • "butnugget" lmao

maybe i was wrong about the sienna. are you cheating on it with the new Venza? You sick prick. Put the Toyota Venza brochure down.

  • They are toast, they are going to break these companies up and sell them off. Inevetably new jobs will be created and through new companies

  • None of these companies should have been offered bailouts...period. The auto industry has a chain around it's neck called the UAW. Call and ask Studebaker who bailed them out when their employees put them out of business. GM and Chrysler should have both filed bankrupcy, and resupplied their workforce with more realistic wages and benefits. The fact that the UAW would not make concessions, and our socialistic government is wanting to take over, will not allow me to buy American vehicles.

  • Bailing these companies out goes against everything our country stands for. From the moral all the way to the economic side of it.

  • But bailing out the banks fits our economic morals? I'm a little confused.

  • We bailed out GM once we are not doing it again.

  • lol this video is a pathetic attempt to get my sympathy GM.

  • Wake up, people! Today you buy import, tomorrow you loose your job. Let's support domestic economy, domestic manufacturers!

  • elcher1234 you should wake up because what you don't understand that this country was, is,and will always be founded by immigrants. I buy what i want and what I like oh yea so give people what they want and they will buy it regardless of where is made. I agree Management is to blame because they didn't research good enough. Where's my flying car?

  • Comment removed

  • Nice propaganda video. The impact will not be as great as they would have you believe. If GM and Chrs. bankrupt and they will. Ford, Honda, Toyota, KIA and others will sell the difference in numbers of cars, and they will be made right here, therefore hiring millions of adnl. workers, and the burden of billions a month bleeding, for no cars built will be over. Yes retirees are going to suffer, thats the price of not looking ahead fast enough. Bad managment is to blame here. Ford isn't failing.

  • Ford was failing 2 years ago and were just lucky to restructure their loans then if not they would be in the same boat they just got lucky They are not doing well now either

  • Lucky, or forward looking?

  • The great depression was cause by a loss of USA jobs to cheap labor. In the 90s people were buying more American products, causing are economy to do much better . But than many sheep type people were fooled into buying cheap foreign products. Making owners of these companies richer and the middle class poorer. Than offering less wages or else. Threating to leave the Usa. Dont be threaten , support American owned companies whenever you can at stores and on line Fair trade not dishonest free trade

  • what does that mean to value of the 3 vehicles left on the used lot? its value is lost, so in turn this means the consumer who bought the vehicle for ticket price are being gyped. a quick calculation, think of a basemodel car as $20000 okay? so if 2 sell great. but the other 3 originally priced at $20000 are going to drop, as they want that vehicle off the lot to make way for the newer ones. if the used ones sell at say, $14000 that means that the people who bought at full price lose 30%

  • what i dont understand is why GM doesnt cut models? i counted the models in the 2009 lineup and it came to a staggering 82 models!, now what does that mean if each GM lot needs to have 4-5 of each model to display the vehicles many colours and engine types. suddenly were at 410 vehicles!? multiply that by dealerships 14000 x 410 = 5740000! a massive number. although this is a rough guess imagine if of the 5 cars on the lot 2 of them sell. now we have 3 2009 models left on the dealership

  • American auto has lost touch with its consumers. The products they offer lost attractiveness to consumers. Main reasons the focus has been on delivering a great product. New paradigm is to deliver a long term relationship from sales to 100,000 mi inspection. Great products are not easy to let go off. Cheap products are easy to let go of when people hear about the benefits of competitors. If the benefits of domestic is worth talking about people will give them a chance.

  • "The chief source of problems is solutions." Eric Sevareid

  • I dislike the fact of people saying their tax dollars are being "taken" oh please, you are okay with paying for rappists and people to rot in jail with your money, but not okay with supporting YOUR economy! People wake up if GM goes down, all those people off work are going to CRIPPLE employment insurance and welfare (here in Canada at least) get with it! Why not support your economy and your product? Keep buying imports in everything you'll destroy your own country in the long run.

  • Imports offer insight on foreign ideas. After learning what they offer the idea can be re-engineered. Supporting domestic is a nationalist idea placing value on the whole instead of the individual. Advertising from that view works on politicians but not consumers. Consumers require something flashy, simple and impressive.

  • bring back old bodies lol

  • Search "Auto Bailout Bullsh*t"...

Or click on my username and find it in my videos.

    It's both hilarious AND insightful.

The CEOs of GM and Chrysler are snakes!

    Enjoy.

  • most of you support your troops, but you don't even support your country... half of you people had your mind made up before you watched this video, imports tuning drifting eco friendly... its the younger generation whos put the us in a hole and im 18. lets face it if the us started building eco friendly cars you people would give a shit, you would say there learning from there mistakes then go to a toyota dealership and buy a car. why suv and muscle? cause currently there supported the most

  • I support the country which is the PEOPLE in the country, not the government stealing money from people to give to rich cooperations. Why buy huge expensive cars that eat up a ton of gas when gas prices will just go back up soon enough? You notice when gas was 4 bucks a gallon SUV sales went down, duh! People don't want gas hogs. I don't really trust someones judgment when one of the favorites is "Ben Folds version of B's Ain't Shit. " You don't respect other people so why should I respect you?

  • Honestly thank you for this answer! Honestly what's Toyota got that GM doesn't...oh wait, cars that sound like pop cans for little boys who cannot handle the power. Big boys drive Corvette and Mustang!

I'm for GM and I support MY economy MY people and MY products! My Corvette will leave your Honda Civic rolling in the dust!

  • i would consider buying ford 2010 HYBRID

USA TODAY JUST SAID IT WAS THE BEST HYBRID OUT SO FAR

    better thn prius.

but they cant surivive given UNION demands..

they wont compete with foreign companies

  • looks like the folks heading these big 3 could have been better business minded since it has such a big impact

  • Yeah lets give the "Big 3" a ton of money when the economy is down and nobody is buying new cars (for good reason, there is no need for new cars when there is 1.9 cars for every household), that will work, right? I want to know what dream land people are living in that think that will work.

Oh, and why did you disable comments on your newest plea for money The Bridge? Maybe because nobody wants to hear this BS and there comments reflect that? Nice of you to not even let people have a say.

  • the dodge challenger sold 4000 out in 1 day, its not that there not saleing its that there isn't enough muscle, face it American muscle is back. ford mustang sales are at a all time high, Dodge is selling a 2-door standard car that they said they would never sale 10 years ago, the Chevy crowd is highly anticipating the new Camaro. truth is a car company cannot be sustained off the sales of one car, America has found its sweat spot, now lets utilize it...

  • Yeah that was over a year ago that the 4,000 sold out in one day, a bit different time now with the economy we have now. I would much rather have a classic can like a 68 mustang gt fastback than a crappy new car if I wanted muscle.

You just don't seem to understand economics, giving a failing business more money to continue to do the same thing doesn't make the business work any better. That goes for the banks, auto industry and every other thing there trying to shove down our throat.

  • I cannot comprehend how blind and shortsighted some people are here. You all fail to understand that this is not the 1970's era, where people would eat whatever the Big Three would throw at them. The companies have realized this and changed, though that reputation still sticks with them. Really, people, wake up. The demise of the domestic auto industry will only amount to worldwide suffering. I would also like it if people would cease swearing.

  • it not about the damn money! it about the consumers. they dont' want junks from detroit! 25 billions just going to last them a few months. then what?

  • i lived in a city where no lie you could see brand new cars for acres im talking an abundant of brand new cars. I got curious, i started taking monthly pictures of this eye sore. after a year i concluded that none of these cars have even moved let alone been bought or shipped to another state. millions upon millions of wasted dollars, just sitting there. people do not buy a new car every month. why are there so many cars?

  • Out of a job yet??? Keep buying foreign.

  • How are they going to bailout themselves when WW3 starts because of all these layoffs wont have money to spend on the sinking economy which is still sinking lower every second on the time line. where is my flying car cause i don't need your outdated hybrids and electric cars when you have the technology to efficiently produce an affordable flying car with 0 emissions. I rather buy a plane, motorcycle or even a boat with the upcoming flood caused by global warming and your pollution.

  • to lift up the discussion, the dollar and the economy, i think it wouldn't be a bad idea to ban the expressions "fuck" and "fucking" out of conversation.

  • Its sad that this video got such low ratings. It's a vicious cycle: we don't support our domestic auto industry, it goes down the tubes.

  • stupid commies, even if we do spend 800 BILLION+ it will just make stuff worse, dont you remember the Great Depression, we spent millions on that and the person that got us out of it was HITLER. spending money wont do shit!!

  • Yes but how many electric cars do US car factories produce? Chinese and Japanese car factories certainly do.

  • Don't blame the unions. Making big cars suv's is what killed them last year. Bringing back models like the camaro with 400 hp and $40k price is not what most americans are looking to buy. I bet they have to sell next year if they don't start downsizing.

  • Well it's partly there problem too. GM has like 5 sub companies and no one buys a car each month like what the fuck. and to add to the sub companies they have like 35 models minimum for each sub company. I say they shut down most sub companies and stop producing so much models. 56 like come on give me a break.

  • STOP FUCKING MASS PRODUCING CARS, BECAUSE I DONT THINK EVERYONE BUYS A NEW FUCKING CAR EVERY THREE MONTHS....jesus these car companies are fucking doorknobs thats why your losing billions

  • I've just discovered something. In 2007 the USA had the lowest current account balance in the World, it was -731,200,000,000,000

I can't even say that! minus 731,200 million and that's before the recession...

China had the highest at 371,800,000,000,000 or 371,800 million. Shocking.

  • Capitalism and Unions don't mix.

  • y are we bailing out the auto indiestry? becuz of jib idk y dont we jus smash the make not gasoline car n make more weapons

  • I agree, the united auto workers is a bunch of bullshit.

  • your right but keep thinking, you arent dumb neither are they , why would you keep them open even though theyre obviously going to continue losing money what possible purpose could they serve...?

  • Lol

  • If we bail out these greedy fucks they'll just keep doing what they've been doing until it all goes under. But they won't care when that happens, because they'll be nice and rich.

  • I love how people are blaming those who bought Toyota and Honda cars for this crisis.

Simple science: survival of the fittest. In a time of economic turmoil and rising oil prices, overseas companies adapted and released fuel efficient cars, while the Big Three released bigger and greedier cars while destroying their fuel-efficient fleets (EV1s anyone?)

I don't give a fuck if the car is made in America or not. Face it, they made bad business decisions, and now they're paying for it.

  • The American auto industry collapsed ten years ago. Now, thanks to PAC money (brides) to all the right crooks in Washington, the federal mafia is sticking massive amounts of money we don't have in the pockets of incompetent fools in Detroit. The next time you hear about some poor retired auto worker, think of the pay he got over a lifetime of producing junk. Save your sympathy for your kids and grandkids whose future is now destroyed. They will come to curse our memory and rightfully so.

  • The US is aksing Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Qatar for $300 billion to fund the auto bailout.

  • cars hybrids electrics cars are the problem not the solution

make a bigger CAR NOW !!!

    a rail car/trolley

GM what did you do to Los Angeles electric trolley in the 50s? bought them and scarapped like the Ev-1 in the 90s

now your asking me for money? FU

  • "since BUSH" don't blame it on BUSH just because your a democrat. Both parties cause this mess and their both to blame. Bush and the democrats will all burn in hell for ruining our once great country.

  • Let capitalism run its course. If the big 3cant compete in a highly competitive market.

    Tough shit....

Greed, lack of management, and over paid lazy

union workers will be their demise.

  • I'll take a spartanburg bmw over that union made detroit crap any day.

  • Hmm your over priced spartanburg bmw has a lower reliability rating then us autos...i guess you like to walk a lot

  • Hmm your over sized, under funded, crap producing auto companies won't be around after 2011...I guess you like to hope a lot.

  • No bailout for the United Auto Workers.Let 'em get jobs at mcdonalds.America will still be making cars,in dixie.

  • god help us if that were to happen. if it does, i am buying a tow truck !

  • i hate the idea of working to pay off a car, i pass bye so many dealerships with so many cars! their has to be at least a billion cars no ones driving (new, and used)... sellem for a grand and you not only get your 700 billion doller bail out, you will sell about 80 billion gallons of gas a day, their you go, how fucken hard is it!!! oh wait, only a hand full of fat cats will loose out! they should take one for the team!

  • everybody relax, we dont need a new car every year. Theirs old cars we can refurbish and trick out, Refurbishing plants could cut job loss by half...

  • And if the solution was so obvious as you say it is, then why did the american people vote for a jackass president , twice? While all along there were clear signs that their was real corruption going on especially since BUSH. Apparently not so obvious as you say, huh buddy ?

  • I never said the solution was obvious...

I'm assuming that your solution to cut spending by 50% means that we'll have lower taxes and therefore more income. USA is already the 3rd lowest taxed country in the world, yet we're in the same boat as countries that tax almost twice as much as us. I think it still comes down to the fact that we're the 2nd biggest consumers in the world (recently topped by China). It won't be long before their bubble also bursts.

  • No more manufacturing sector means no more service sector, or any other sector as well. That means no more tax revenue, which means no more government sector either. No country in the history of the world every printed money till they got themselves out of a recession/depression. Tax rebates, bailouts, and huge targeted government spending has never solved anything. But manufacturing must exist in this country. If it does not, everyone can wave their job goodbye. Next year,it will happen

  • Yes, there is a solution. cut government spending by 50 percent across the board starting with programs other than the ones that provide the basic functions of government. Then, the government will have to compete also by cutting their costs, and being more competitive as well. No more printing of money that is not backed by gold. That means , government has to be accountable for the money they spend. Bring back a trade policy that protects the middle class american workers.

  • these is so sad, this should be one nation saving our own ass, i my self came from Europe to be an American, i work on American cars and have good relation ship with my costumers , maybe the nation has to have a good relation ship with their producers,, people think its a good idea Toyota heaving a factory here in the states, ya it will look really good when they will bring more Japanese here to take our money

  • 2009 = GREAT DEPRESSION PART 2

Get ready to lose your job, house, and car.

  • Please give them your money. (Like u did for many years) Maybe this time it'll be different, because the economy is boosting and the demand for big cars is rapidly increasing. ....suckers!

  • $17 Billion to produce...Nothing.

Come see the video about this on my You Tube channel if you are interested.

  • People which buy american cars are not right in the head, these cars are scrap. Lutz, director of the GM-board said 2005 that customers will buy SUV's regardless if the fuel consumtion is high. He was so wrong. These people have no clou, they speek and produce trash. The workers have to pay the bill now. Europe shows how things have to be done.

  • I couldn't agree more. Europeans produce excellent cars that offer everything, good performance, handling, build quality, low emissions, safety etc and they do it efficiently. Americans mass produce cheap cars with no road manners at all, and they do it creating a lot of pollution.

  • Thanks mate

  • Any money given to them now will just be added to the money that will be lost in the future. This video makes a false implication that throwing money at them will fix the situation -- it won't. All that money and more would be lost in either case.

Video translation: "Throw us good money after bad so we can give ourselves huge bonuses before we go under, which will happen either way. We hope we've scared you enough to comply."

Sounds a lot like Bush and the failout-bailout scaremongering.

  • "Theres an old saying in Tennessee . . . i know its in Texas, probably in Tennessee . . . that says, fool me once, shame on . . . shame on you . . . fool me . . . you cant get fooled again." --George Bush

If you think they should get a bailout, send them your money yourself.

  • Citizens are squeezed between Republicans and Democrats, both with their agenda. I spoke with a insider yesterday in Fint, MI where the Chevy Volt is being built. He said GM is going to build a new plant even though they have a 8 year old vacant one available in the same area. I understand their could be tax benefits for the new facility but lets think long term for once. Poorly managed companies which make bad investment decisions should be allowed to fail. Short term pain=long term gain.

  • hi anyone want to chat

i liked this video :) Do

  • Maybe India has already stocks of Ford or any other big firm through other names. You can't never know for sure. They sell firms behind closed doors, stealth. USA economy allows it.

Those old men are all thieves anyway, they like extra money for them but at end will sell it anyway one way or another. Nobody wants a panic, slow and easy & corrupt till the jobs get lost.

  • The smallest=Chrysler will not survive.

Why would China buy a firm that produces cars that need twice as many gasoline than any Euro or Asian car, that doesn't run as good, isn't even nature friendly, + too wide for European or any other roads besides USA ?

NO; Asia & Europa will make their own cars, but better with time & ship it around the globe, made for different people.

USA & Japan cars were always NOT worth their price. In car industry still goes: survival of the best=best for customer.

  • I am sick of hearing about WHAT IF SCENARIO it is going to happen soon enough anyway, unless the auto makers are bought out by ...say CHINA...! so lets just keep dumping money into this big HUNGRY MONSTER...what a waste ! MY ADVISE stop paying taxes idiots just waste your money anyway

  • The auto industry if it dies, will in the end, most likely take your job down with it. What people don't understand is, that other auto companies are suffering just as well as GM, chrysler and Ford. The Big three are suffering more, because they specialized in larger vehicles which were making htme money just fine, until the gas price tripled in less than 3 years. The US auto industry is one of the only manufacturing bases left in this country. Once they are gone, you will see a depression.

  • It was GM in the 1900's that bought out the mass transit systems throughout America. To create demand for their buses and cars. GM assisted in the systematic addiction of oil in america. This loan is going to buy you a few months at best. Then it's bye-bye for you guys. Hope the CEO's and golf course board members of GM enjoy their money. It's going to be gone in 2009. Let the big 3 die. They should fire the execs, take their stocks, pensions and retirement. Bring back the jobs from over seas.

  • Good, let them fail. They are so outdated and need to go away so that we can starting thinking again about what we want and need. Their cars have sucked for 30 years. Outdated in the 60s and they have stopped real development in workable mass transit. Instead the stupid Governments only thing they know to do is increase lanes and bail out these old outdated industries. so government needs to die too.

If it will get people thinking about real solutions, GM Ford Crylsler need to die.

  • : forgive me for bad English but, you Americans are picking what planted! America stopped in the time, the china will be the new superpower if America doesn't wake up, the values of the USA are dying, your cars, technologies etc, they are a lot behind countries as Japan, European Union and even of China, India and Brazil in certain sections

  • Oh yeah, and the people who have lived beyond their means more than anyone, is the U.S government itself. People are losing their jobs, homes, etc. while Government workers are still getting their substantial Cola increeasess and raises. This is all at a time when our GDP is going to be negative 8 percent or more. And then, these same people who are in government are going to lecture the American public about living beyond their means and being competative? appauling....

  • That's a lot of responses that mostly state the obvious. Are you going to present any solutions? You want higher wages? Where is all this money going to come from? I hope you're not going to expect the government to help us.

  • There has been one group that has lived beyond their means, and its the wall street crowd, corporate cronies, and upper class. But when they get into financial trouble they get a 1.3 trillion dollar no strings attached bailout. When the working man has hard times, he gets the shaft, a pink slip, and a SOL greeting of you should have been more competetive from people who haven't worked a day in their lives. The good news is, change is coming, the easy way, or the hard way. Its their choice.

  • Why should future generations be denied the same? Hell, all we are asking for is a quarter of what they were able to achieve on the basis of overall living standard, and that seems to be sill too much to ask for. If you haven't noticed a overall decline in true ownership since your grandparents generation, then you really have had your head in the sand.

  • And did I bother to mention that she was making 18 + dollars an hour with stellar credit? Now how many people you think that work as non-skilled labor make 18 dollars an hour? Not many. But does this mean they should not be able to buy a home? Of course not. Our parents generation had the american dream, and so did their parents.

  • Fuck Jap car!

    Destroying American culture!

    White Power!

  • Good Video. It's about time.

  • Please excuse the previous entry. It was a response to MattMatt115.

  • You watch our currency collapse. There is a bubble in the bond market as we speak. The new scam this administration is doing is taking all the bailout money and printing money, then purchasing treasuries so the interest rates go down. All they did is take the risk that was in housing and the banks, and just transferred it to our currency. When this thing exploded, wich it will, interest rates will skyrocket. Have fun being in this slowdown for another 15 years aka japan!!!

  • Every job the government saves for GM by giving them bailout money, is 2 jobs lost in the private sector. Rewarding an incompetent company via bailout money, and punishing a profitable company via inflation and less credit from all the printing is totally un-american. This is so sad!

  • People keep saying you cant let the auto industry collapse. It already collapsed!!!! Give me a break. How can you prop up an unprofitable company. There is a reason GM is in this position. Let them fail, then their assets will be bought up on the cheap and salaries will be adjusted accordingly and only then will profitable car be sold. This bailout is the biggest scam!

  • This bailout is the biggest scam. We need the auto makers to go bankrupt because then they will restructure and the free market will make them a leaner more profitable car company. The government propping them up only delays this action and the 15 billion in bailout money will be 100 billion withing the next 5 years. what a joke!!

  • At least since the gov't has passed the bail-out for the auto industry, they're being forced to reconstruct their business...

But the banks were able to walk away with $700 billion and not change a damn thing.

    Seems kind of contradictory.

  • This is bloody propoganda

  • YES!Bush dose have a Brain I take back 1/8 of the things I said about him.LOL People need cars, and their is millions of people that would not be caught dead in a foreign car and love their GM,Ford and ChryslerSo people buy the car that you like, but dont cry If you get ran off the road by a good old American car or you get buy American keyed into your door. And dont come back with my foreign car is made in the US because the profits go right to Japan and no true blue American is going to by it.

  • How about handing out 35 billlion to the people who will lose their jobs?

  • Fuh-get it, they were greedy overpaid union workers anyways who rejected the only offer the US government gave them!

  • Id rather give it to people and keep them working. Handing out money left and right to people with NO job is pissing money away.

  • Is it 'funny'? While I think many agree the auto industry has needed to become greener for quite some time, I don't think it's entertaining to watch as some 250,000 Americans stand poised to lose their jobs while others -- such as you out there who think this is funny-- conveniently and ignorantly forget they have a stake in this, too. When the ripple effect affects your job or livelihood, try to stay laughing. Maybe that will help you remain cheerful enough to feel superior.

  • It is funny to see the 3 Largest automakers like piece of shit..they proved to me that they dont have competence to keep their business..the american way of live never will be the same...well done stupid americans...lol...

  • Like Brazil isn't worth a damn, except for the hot girls in bikinis?

I'm glad they're going under. Those greedy ass union workers got paid to much for doing nothing. I'll just go buy a Toyota.

  • Grow up...Brazil is more than girls in bikinis.....about buying a Toyota..you are rigth..but here in Brazil Toyota is not a cheap car..Toyota Corola is expensive here...

  • That is because it is an import. Those big 3 make crap cars anyways. They TURNED DOWN fuel efficient cars 10 years ago because it was to much to invest in, but now they are all about it!

Whereas Toyota and a few other makers, tested their concepts in other countries before bringing it to American standards.

  • Here the Sales Leader is Fiat second VolksWagem third GM and fourth Ford..the others automakers -Peugeot/Renault/Honda/Toyota/ etc..share the other positions...

  • GM has more hybrids, more cars that get over 30 mpg than any other manufacturer. Several American cars have claimed top spots in quality and the American manufacturers hold more patents in the last 30 years for automotive development than all foreign companies combined. GM developed the first full blown electric car but putting them into large scale production would have been impossible, they were too expensive and the market for them AT THE TIME was minimal.

  • Ford made the first with the electric Ranger, but was never produced.

Aside from the ridiculous bailout (even though GM and Chrysler are now the governments "bitch" sorta speak), Ford had not accepted the bailout.

  • Ford just said they were not in immediate risk of collapse and did not need a bridge loan, they did ask for access to something like 10 billion in credit should they need it for the same period. Here is an honest question, tell me how the US would be better off without an Auto industry? How would we be in a better position? I hate bailouts as much as the next guy but to be honest what good would come of the collapse of the Big 3?

  • If one goes, everyone that bought from that one company will go to one of the other two. It's like how big the Linux/Macintosh user base would be if Microsoft ever went under.

  • I wouldn't say they got paid to much to do nothing, quite a few of the jobs are constantly repetitive, messing up your wrists and causing early arthritis. It was a combination of union pay and poor management that put the company under. Mainly management since they didn't conserve their funds in the right direction.
