There is a lot of respect between those two. One time Jr. was using him as a drafting partner and Jamie radioed to his crew and told them to tell Earnhardt he can push him as hard as he wants anywhere on the track, just don't tear the rear bumper off.

i had MRN call this on radio for me, i was working during this. I thought he was screaming Jr. took the lead. then they mention he's in second. I thought "Oh, that was misleading" (dale isn't my favourite driver so iwasn't all heart-broken or anything.

@SaintBEEP They did something like that in the 2011 Winston 500 - with three to go AJ Allmendinger stormed to fifth but Joe Moore mistakenly said he took the lead. I was ready to explode out of my seat at Lee Speedway in NH until they clarified seconds later.

At Talladega one year and the MRN crew pulled into our campsite in the infield and they were drunk. Lol True story. But i love their calls. They could make a Chess match exciting.

i was happy for jamie mac, this year must have been a huge slap in the face to jack roush, a daytona 500 win, a brickyard 400 win, and a win at charlote, and he almost made the chase, i hope he makes it in 2011
