Everyone has a preference. You can't force Jill to be into interracial dating. If she's not attracted to other races then she has every right to feel that way. There are plenty of caucasian people who won't date black people either. Does it make them racist or is it just their preference? They seem to have adopted the white American stereotypes about Blacks, which is probably derived from Hollywood movies and TV shows. They also seem very open to interaction with Europeans in general. More importantly, this greater number of variations will certainly be more notable to others, irrespective of ethnicity. Science has shown that humans generally prefer genetically averaged mates. A greater number of variations increases that number exponentially. So it's not just black men for whom there would appear to be some appeal.

It is a well documented fact that black women tend to be more xenophobic than black men. They are far more reserved about marrying outside of their race than black men. However, the shortage of good black male stock has forced many black women to relax many of their ethnic preferences when looking for love.

In other words, there is pecking order in this world: Whites #1, Non-Blacks #2, and Blacks coming up last.

@Mikelovision I lived in Japan 13 yrs, and i traveled all over Asian. They seem to have adopted the white American stereotypes about Blacks, which is probably derived from Hollywood movies and TV shows. They also seem very open to interaction with Europeans in general. An Asian would be much more accepting of his daughter dating a White than a Black guy and pictures adoring Europeans are all over place. Remember China tried to exclude Blacks from coming into the country during the Olympics.

@cjfl1962 I agree with what you said! That part is true about asian parents prefer white partners over blacks. But that's not RACIST, that's prejudice my friend. That's not all Asian countries. China (one of the most corrupt and polluted places) definitely adopted the American stereotypes about blacks which came from television. But Japan and many other places in Asia don't have that view, overall. Your preparing your daughter to have a chip on her shoulder whole whole life.

@Mikelovision Irony is, as for as USA goes, it was D Civil Rights Movement that resulted in banning all those laws that made interracial marriage illegal. In essence, these Asians have people like MLK to thank for the opportunity of their children marrying whites. In my MSW program we study how all minority groups, to include Asians, have richly benefited from the CRM. How odd they have this view of Blacks. No chip, just reality. She w/b strong cause she's been prepared with the whole truth.
