What a pointless video. That bikes only car competition would be a hypercar like a Veyron, but even that would struggle to match it to 100mph. Bikes have a far superior power/weight ratio. Around a track I think it would a lot closer.

@88tcoupe You'd probably need a full mile to start making ground on the Ducati. They cross the quarter mile at 125mph (Fer) and 144mph (Duc). Even if the Duc stops accelerating right there, it will cross the 1/2 mile 7 seconds later. Not much time for the Ferrari to get to 144, then start closing the gap. Check out MotorTrends website for their comparo. Superbikes typically get to top speed very quickly, but ultimately are not as fast as the top cars. 186mph for the Duc vs 202 for the Ferrari.

@sebastianpappas Literbikes in my country are around 18-20.000 €. An 1198 may be a bit more expensive but not by much. However this is an S and yes that is more expensive, but an Aprilia RSV4 APRC SE is about the same price. Or the BMW S1000RR Carbon is about the same aswel.

It's more about the gizmo's and suspension that makes it more expensive. Just look at the price difference between the Daytona 675 and the 675R.
