I am so glad that I don't live in those townhouses any more. I would have been pissed if a bunch of retards (the mass crowds of people not the cops) prevented me from getting in and out of my house. Has the male to female ratio at JMU changed that much? because I'm definitely seeing more dudes than usual. Perhaps another indicator that there more than just JMU students were present.

@miller9time I'm not talking about the actual festivities as embarrassing. I'm referring to what went on after things got way out of hand. It's an embarrassment to the school whether JMU students took part in any of the stupid antics or not. People will hear that you go to JMU and instantly think of what went on at block party and how that reflects upon your character. So thanks for giving our school a bad name everyone!

@JonAngot There have been other out of control riots at JMU before. I think it was at the fall block parties in 2000 where a car and a dumpster were set on fire. These kinds of parties at JMU have been going on for years (since the early 80s for sure) and usually the only people who really remember them are the locals from or people who were actually there. It's disgusting though. I wish they didn't hype the thing so much on fb. Just another reason why I will never visit during alumni weekends.
