It's a shame this was dubbed instead of subtitled. Welles' voice constitutes as much of his presence as his image. The dubbed voice ruins it completely.
I heard the english version...Welles had a very impressive voice.
Nevertheless i think the italian dubber did a great interpretation (because it's not only a matter of voice, you know, different languages means also different emphasis). :)
I read that the RAI network in Italy was the first network in the world to start the practice of keeping its logo always onscreen during shows. The whole country should be nuked for that!

Well, I'm glad he did a good job. I've only seen a few films that benefit from dubbing. (Most of them are by Sergio Leone!)
