  • I didn't get any summer reading D;

  • Every year at my school they would do a summer reading, and then the year I am taking it they stopped hehe lucky me! And I laughed at the part about the reading quizzes... So true lol

  • I made a 90 in ap world history and i never read or studied for the final exam, and wtf is summer reading thats for lit not history you big dumbie.

  • wow that is so false. :P

WHAP is a very easy class when you get used to it, it will destroy you in the beginning but gets a vast deal better as the year progresses, and when the time for the AP test comes you will be thoroughly prepared if you have a good teacher

  • haha AP World what a beast class...........good times, good times

  • @sayachit That's the difference between a 4 and a 5.

  • wow o_O really? n00b _|_

  • they should dick slap u

  • hahaha. I didn't have summer reading, didn't read half my textbook and still got a 98% in the class and a 4 on the ap exam. It's about broad historical knowledge. Calm down.

  • @caecandy you're teacher grade inflates like crazy then because if you only got a 4 you don't deserve an A+

  • hahaha i like this kid. However, my AP World History class didn't have summer readings? The readings still take hours every night though.

  • Yeah, nothing beats curling up with a nice three thousand page book. Forget riding your bike or playing with the other kids when you could be reading about war and gaining empire. Read how Jesus and the Queen conquered the world. Lol.

  • UHHHHHH NERD MUCH GOSH I REALLY WANT TO KICK YOUR FACE IN

  • AP World really is not hard at all. I didn't even take an AP class (I took an honors class) and I got a 3 with no additional studying. Nothing to worry about.

  • jerk.........

  • Just for the record,

the summer reading IS that bad.

  • @only1madi yeah, i know it is >.<

  • haha i got a 5 in the ap wh test and never read my book haha

  • @faruh123 A retard who just got accepted to NYU. Nice try though

  • What do you have for summer reading??

  • @YouniqueYouth

i dont know what they have... but over here in desoto tx... ugh! we have the princeton review and a packet...

  • u have a big nose

  • i hate my ap world history class it sucks

  • ha! we were assigned a book to read over the summer last year, but we never even mentioned it after the first day (no test or anything, teacher just asked if we read it) but yeah, in order to get good grades, reading the textbook is a MUST.

  • lol our smmer reading was about drinks lol

  • am in 3 grade you made me scared history test coming up

  • well thats relative, my ap wh class is hardd -__- but its not like that matters as much as wat ur ap score iss

  • Ap World history is hard ,, i didnt even go to honers and was jus put in to ap thats was kind of cool but i am afraid to fail my first ap exam what if i fail my ap class noooooooooo nooo that cant happen .........help me..... some body give me a good advice ...what should i do not ,to fail my ap class ,,beside studing notes , or reading . HELP !!

  • @hurculies95 magic

  • tht was some fucked up advice dude.. =(

  • i got a 1 on the ap exam. woooo

  • Hey im taking AP world history next year im going into sophmore year and i would like to ask how many hours of hw do you have for each day?

  • I took it last year, and you have about 4-5 hours of homework.

  • we dont hav a lot of hww but u shud spend the "extra" time reading the book -__-

  • well are u going to take ap calculus ab or bc next year?? btw ur really smart!!!!! I mean im taking precalc in senior year!! lol im only taking geometry in sophomore. or algebra 2 if the school lets me do two math courses in one year!! that would be so kool!! i want to take ap calculus!!!!! i just found out how nerdy that made me look right now lololol

  • :D im takin precalc nd im a sophomore...

  • boo hoo so am i

  • So fucking what. A lot of my friends take calculus as a sophomore and I take precalc as well. Suck a dick

  • I'm taking AP World next year. woo

  • yeah im a sophmore in pre calc too

i have not read the book since chapter 19, which is like the chapter on early latin america and i have had an A all 4 quarters

    so blow me?

  • nobody reads that shit. lol

  • Why you telling us this? You do know there's some sophmores in Ap Calculus right? I'm a sophmore and I'm in Pre cal also but you don't have to say it >.>

  • yeah no need to brag. you're good at math, good for you.

  • your a faggot

  • hahahaha.. i did absolutely none of those things but i honestly dont give a crap what i get anyway

  • I basically hate AP World more than anything. I have it first period, so my attention span is awful and I learn nothing and therefore do, and will continue, to do horrendous until the course is over.

  • APWH isn't even that hard!

  • Oh God, AP World History was the bane of my existence sophomore year. I managed to scrape by with a 3 on that exam, and even though that's a free college credit, I'm still wondering if it was worth a year of mind-numbling, awful, terribly boring lectures. Thank God it's over.

  • god, I want to punch you in the face.

  • i hate apwold i wish they would just discontinue the class

  • I've got a 92 or a 95 right now in that class, I can't wait 'till after I pass (FAIL) that exam....

  • Oh, and taylee33, I never failed a test throughout my AP World History course. The lowest I've gotten on a chapter test was a B (86%) - partly because the test was covering 3 long chapters.

  • yeea i left the summer assignment until the end of august. and we had to read Guns Germs and Steel and write a 14 page essay on it. But we've only had one test/quiz all year so far

  • wow lmao i love bullshitters :D

  • who's a bullshitter?

  • Dude, AP World History is easy. I got a 5 on that shit.

  • You're hardcore. I bet no one else in the country received a 5.

  • agentkro: Trust me, AP World History is nothing compared to the other courses I'm currently taking. I'm in my last semester of my junior year and AP Calculus BC and AP Physics B is pretty damn difficult. AP U.S. History is easy, considering I already have a general foundation of U.S. History. AP English Language is not that bad either; just a lot of essays, reading and analyzing.

  • I was actually being a bit sarcastic lol...sorry for being a dick. I hope to get a 5 on all of the history exams I take (this is ideal, not sure if it's real :( ). Right now I'm only in AP Euro and I think I have a good chance. U.S History sucks at my school because apparently the teacher is horrible and your pretty much self teach yourself. AP English doesn't seem to bad. How are you in AP Calculus BC when you're a junior? Few people take that where I live. if they do, it's senior year

  • I've come to the conclusion that you met Calculus AB instead of BC. If you are in Calculus BC right now, you either completely skipped AB, or you took Algebra 1 in 5th grade. I do not think either is very likely, so you fail.

  • I've taken Intermediate Algebra during my freshman year, took a trig class over the summer and entered Calculus AB during my sophomore year. And yes, it is possible. I plan on taking AP stats during my last year.

  • So you completely skipped pre-calc? Interesting. You can't really do that where I live. I took intermediate Algebra my freshman year as well. I had the option of taking the Trig/Pre-calc this year, but due to schedule conflicts, it only ended up being Trig. How do you take a trig class over the summer?

  • Yes, I did skip pre-calculus. I took a trig class at a community college nearby my high school as a prerequisite for AP Calculus AB. I also got a teacher's recommendation from my Intermediate Algebra teacher at the end of freshman year. I live in California, if you wondering.

  • yes, at my school there are a ton of juniors taking ap calculus bc. it's different for a lot of schools, so don't judge.

  • Unless by "a ton" you mean 10-20 students, I don't believe you.

  • You don't have to believe me. I know that there are like 60 kids taking AP Calculus BC at my school. At my school, the majority of kids take Precalculus in 11th grade and AP Calc AB or BC in 12th grade, but we have a lot of smart kids who take AP Calc BC their junior year. So don't act like you know what the norm is in other schools, it just makes you look dumb.

  • by kids in the first sentence, i meant juniors.

  • Do you realize how much algebra you need for Calculus?

  • I can't believe you are replying to my comment that I left nearly a year ago. I'm in AP Calculus BC right now in my junior year.

  • You're lying. You can't skip precalc and alg 2.

  • I did not skip Alg 2. I took it on my freshman year, took pre-calculus over summer, and enrolled in AP Calculus AB during sophomore year. I think I've stated that very clearly in my previous post. Why would I even intend to lie in the first place? Believe what you want, because I don't really give a fuck. Good day to you, sir.

  • It's possible, actually. I took Algebra 1 in eighth grade, then Geometry my freshman year. I took Algebra 2 over the summer, and I'm in Pre-Calc online right now and in AP Calc AB in school as a sophomore.

  • Actually, you have no idea where this person lives or what standards their school follows. Such as mine, we could start Algebra in 7th grade, complete geometry in 8th, finish algebra 2 in 9th grade, start pre-calculus or ap stat in 10th, ap calculus ab in 11th, and finish off with bc for the senior year.

However, he could have taken extra math classes online, so that he wouldn't have to spend it all in school. So no, it is very likely.

  • My friend, I took Algebra in 7th grade, geometry in 8th grade, and algebra 2 in 9th grade. In 10th grade (this year) I am taking trigonometry. Next Year i am taking pre-calc and AP stat. How can you take extra math classes online? I tried looking it up and couldn't find much about it. I don't think most high schools offer online classes.

  • it is possible to take math classes online.

  • your advanced math class options are weird. in my school. its different. the smart people in middle school take algebra 8th grade. then they go to geometry in 9th grade, then algebra 2 in 10th grade, then precalc in 11th grade, then in 12th grade, they take ap stats, ap calc ab, OR Ap calc BC. see, you dont HAVE to take ap calc ab before ap calc bc. you can take bc calc and not take ap calculus ab, and still get 5 on the ap exam and get one full years worth of freshman math credit in college

  • i never passed a test, this whole semester.

  • I got 40's on all my tests all year, never studied, and some how pulled a 3 on the ap test and a 97 on the regents

  • Nice ending....

  • Everyone in my class wouldn't fail so hard if the one smart person kept getting perfect scores and messing up the curve :(

  • Hahaha, you're so damn right!!

  • you nerd!!!

  • i wish i had seen this b4 god dammit

  • hell ya ur right u do

  • you really do get used to the F's...

  • thats you, i got used to "A+" nonstop

  • oh my gosh.

they didn't even give us summer reading. they told us at the beginning of the year we could take it as an elective...

we had our first essay today. not so bad. but the mc quizzes are just something else. im not even shooting for three, not on the first one anyway. but we have a good teacher so yay.

im so gonna fail this class anyway.

  • LOL.

    you are so totally right.

i completed my first summer reading assignment (not that thoroughly, but enough i suppose) and my first test i had.. i failed:) but the class average was a... 56 so.. whatever. LOL super intense........damn.

  • he does

  • u look like the guy on The Office with the curly hair

  • john krasinski

  • how bad are the homework?

  • ha...the test is tommorrow and i've read maybe 20-30 pages cumalitive of the text book, never studied and probably won't even tho i should...anyone think i can get a 3?

  • shut up faggot

  • you know what's funny? i'm taking the test on thursday, and my school doesn't actually OFFER apwh!! the people who are going int oap next year found out about the test on april 20-ish, and i've only had about the last 5 days of legit studying, and i'm pretty sure im getting a -4 on this test.

    just REALLY funny stuff.

  • Uhh...You're not getting a 4.

  • yea, my teacher told me that some schools make their students take it even if they're not in it, i kno this sounds mean but I'm glad for that since the curve will be steeper, but not glad since they might fail...unless they don't even care then it's win-win.

  • no ur not dude. the test for ap history classes are insane

  • P.S. i said -------4 check it again!!

  • i know u did. i can read

  • ..just to clarify. He said -4, as in NEGATIVE 4. He's saying he's gonna super-fail, not super-pass.

  • p.s. ima girl.

  • dude thats pretty good in terms of like passing i would gladly a take a 7 out of 9 lol

  • duuuuude, ive been busting my ass over the website, my book, review book and handout that contains over 200 questions......

    HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh boy. theres like 8 days till the exam. and i havent opened my book since the 2nd month of school. =] well, i'll read the study guide next week. im predicted to get a 4, anyway. its not that bad a class. pretty simple thematic stuff.

  • haha i love that lightning

yeah...im taking the exam on the 15th...and I wish I had started reading before...because my teacher sucks...

  • AP World = Kill me please

  • our textbooks don't even have most of the pages! I CAN'T read ha. I hate AP world

  • Yeah good luck with AP World history, its almost over so that mean your almost done. But you know what that means, that means your very near to AP US History, yeah... APUSH will make you want to fork your eyes. Yeah, I'm almost done with APUSH and I'm counting down the days left. APUSH is 20 time harder than AP World

  • thanks dude ,, by the way i'm going to pass that test .. cuz i just started the class and it seems OK . a lot of homework and classs work but it's all good.. Mr whinston is a great teacher one of the best ever.. brooklyn NY Enterprise Business and technonlgy we the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • APUSH is usually a Sophmore class. AP World is probably about the same difficulty though. AP Euro is when you should start freaking out

  • it depends on who teaches the classes. my ap worldhistory teacher makes the class 3 times harder than the exam. he gets one of the highest passing rates ont he exam because of it

  • I'm pretty good in that class. I have 90 something percent. the AP world website really helps. It has a bunch of questions that are actually on the chapter tests.

  • i take AP world and i practically never read the textbook and i have an over-ninety average. but i agree with the summer reading thing though. you need to do that.

  • i fucking HATE AP world history, im a sophmore and im getting low 80's, i need helpppppp

  • Uhh, do your work? See, in my class, we have binder checks, which save my ass because they're worth 2,3 or 400 points. So quizes usually don't matter until then...

  • class is hell easy n its so boring.,...but i got a 110 in first semester

  • AHHHH! I am a Sophmore in high school and just finished the first day of World History AP. Any tips?

  • kool im a sophomore in Ap world history too and im doing f'ing good in that class

  • Yeah, I',m doing alright. :P I just get all the Chineses dynasties mixed up; Shang, Xia, Zhou, Song, Ming, Qing, and then I think there was one or two more. :P

  • oh rite now where on the Roman and the han empires. i remeber going over those dynasties

  • lol same here.

my teacher does NOT know how to teach! It's her first year of ap world history as a teacher. omg. she says she "ponders". She has no idea whats she talking half the time. -.-

    oh my gawd....

  • Hahahaha. My teacher had flaws too, but really your supposed to rely on yourself for most of the info. :P PS - If u can name all the Chinese Dynasties in order, could you send me the list. Thank you!

  • Well, I honestly didn't read the book every night and often pushed it aside. Overall, I got a 4 and I'm quite content.

  • I stopped reading the text book mid way through the year. It's a waste and way too specific. Just buy the Princeton Review book and read it cover to cover, do lots a practice questions, and go over possible essay questions.

    Don't believe me?

    I got a 5.

  • Just to let you know now, I believe you. But I have the Princeton review book, and its really good (I recommend it to anybody) But, I have a question, were you an extremely smart and "Just get it" lol. Because I know people like that, and you seem to be one of those people (5 on AP test, didn't read half the book) haha.

  • I read a few chapters at the beginning of this year (for like the first month of the school year) and then haven't cracked open my book since.

I consistently score 5's on the practice tests that our teacher gives us during class. I find that it is easy to logically deduce the answer if you have a general knowledge of what happens at what time, what sounds Chinese and what sounds Indian or European as far as names go, etc.

  • haha i love this,, i took ap world this year.. im waiting for my exam score.. wish me luck.. and thats pretty good advice..

  • what did u get for ur score on the AP World History exam
