When someone uses a round brush and a blow dryer on wet hair the person's hair is going to get yanked. She is pulling her head so hard because the brush is pulling at the wet hair while she is drying it. I gotten the same technique done on my head, and it does not feel as uncomfortable as it looks.

I am guessing that you have only seen bad weave jobs because if you've seen a good one, you won't be able to tell that it's a weave. I wear weaves usually in the Summer to give myself a different look. I never do a whole head because I feel that look is obvious and can be tacky looking on some people (a weave should enhance your look, not take away from it). If you get the right color and texture to blend with your hair, it's a beautiful thing and men do like the look.

Have you tried using a heat styling serum? Plus it is easier if you blow dry it first so that it can be textured straight before you begin to iron it. A light olive oil spray can help as well. Use small sections, and use a good iron, doesn't have to be expensive, but it has to work. Good luck!

African American women and any other race of women for that matter can wear what ever texture they want.. But if I walked into an office to apply for a position with an afro, locks or my natural texture, I won't be looked at the same as someone with straight or relaxed hair. Not every place is the same, but that is true in alot of cases :(

Black women treat hair as an accessory when this is not the case.

black ppl's hair can be great if its well taken care of but the reason why alot of women are getting defensive and offended when weaves are brought up is because black ppl have been conditioned to think straight,long hair is better than african hair because of tv,media etc.....you cant tell me black women didnt watch ''fresh prince'' and dream about having tatyana ali's hair!

im half black and half white so i have tons of curls, its so hard to get the flat iron through it. ive had it relaxed but it doesnt work....*sigh*

Have you tried using a heat styling serum? Plus it is easier if you blow dry it first so that it can be textured straight before you begin to iron it. A light olive oil spray can help as well. Use small sections, and use a good iron, doesn't have to be expensive, but it has to work. Good luck!

It amazes me how ignorant people always chime in with negative comments. This video was simply to display a weave being cut and styled. Why the drama... African American women and any other race of women for that matter can wear what ever texture they want.. That's the phenomenal thing about wearing a weave, the abilty to change your look without damage to one's natural hair. So do research before commenting.. Knowledge is power and you certainly displayed your lack of!!!

its true....lilrog0909, natural hair looks way better than this bullshit...why weave in a hair type that doesnt match your ethnicity...you dont see white women with african weave sewn onto their heads....women of many races wear weaves but black women are the ONLY ones who wear a texture that is COMPLETELY different from their own, ive caught white ppl actually laugh at black girls with these weaves!
