Some of the best strikers make a career out of 'tap ins': Van Nistlerooy, Linekar etc. It's about being able to make space in the box which a football novice wouldn't understand. You really think it's a fluke to score over 200 goals from tap ins? You might want to watch a lampard highlight reel, then wallow out of embarrassment from that remark

@ipreferaflan1 A manager would prefer a player who can deliver precision passing and the ability to score goals from nothing and not to mention his exquisite penalties and free kicks. Lampard was a great player and still is but he does not possess the quality Gerrard has and just look at Torres , if he came back to Liverpool he would be banging goals in because of the midfield ability we have to be able to pass it to him with ease.

Would it surprise you Lampard is Chelseas top scorer this season, 9 goals in 19 league games (1 in 2 games pretty much),Suarez has 5 in 16 so he's doing better than your strikers. Oh I did see the goal on the weekend, not his best, but a match winning goal, where was Gerrards vs Stoke? That was his 6th match winning goal this season (more than any other player).
