@custumpcreview your videos have got me pc-building crazy. Trying to find good deals, looking up benchmarks, ect. And if youve got some unwanted hardware i would gladly take them off your hands :D
@GalaxyMicroUS Thanks for the positive feedback. I'll have the full review up soon. So far so good. Pushed it up to 982MHz/1964MHz over the Christmas weekend. 172MHz overclock and temps held steady at 87c. Awesome. =D
question im getting this card in a week or two does it come with one of those 2x 4pin to pci express connectors my power supply only has 1 and wont be able to upgrade it for a few weeks and havent found anything online about it...
1 thing I do regret is HDMI output ports. When I built my PC I was not planning to have more than 1 monitor. Now I have 2 of them with only 1 HDMI output on my card. I wish I would have thought about this while buying:(
@custompcreview If I do get a DVI to HDMI adapter i wont get the HDMI fetures of better quality and sound withit right? Also is there a big difference between DVI and HDMI?
I really like this review! It looks like a great card. The cooling solution is nice. Just to compare I have a ASUS GTX560 and it has all the same specs except the memory. Does that really effect gaming?
@1330pc Yeah it's a pretty sweet card. The memory won't affect performance as long as you're running at 1920x1200 or under. I think that's only a marketing gimmick by Galaxy since a lot of people think more memory = more performance.
@custompcreview lol just one of the things that i learnt at collage. probably a load of crap like them anti static bands. that's one of the main reason's that the case is metal because most of the time you touch that before the components.
@custompcreview I am in a state of indecision. I would like to build a new PC. I know the basics, what I need to build it. I just can't decide ATI or nVidia. I do like Morphological AA, though.
@Thedriftor it is really up to you or what you are going to be using it for. my opinion nvidia is better performance for your money and often used for better rendering times with the extra cuda cores. but ati works just aswel
@custompcreview I like to play TF2, CIV, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., ARMA, Killing Floor, The Witcher, and Starcraft. The resolution I use is 1920 by 1200. But I am starting to lean towards ATI, just for Eyefinity, as from what I know, ATI lets us use multiple monitors with one card.
@Thedriftor Well if you're looking for eyefinity you definitely need AMD. I would wait until January 9. The new AMD HD7900 series graphics card is coming out and from the specs, those things look like absolute monsters.
@custompcreview Well according to Anandtech and Tom's Hardware they are just rebadges of the current 6000 series GPUs. Maybe I read the articles wrong? I did skim them. Thanks for replying, man :)
@Thedriftor No... Check the specs. HD7970 is packing 2048 cores, 3gb gddr5 and 384 bit memory interface. HD6970 packs 1536 cores, 2gb gddr5 and a 256 bit memory interface. Looks like a bit more than a simple rebranding...
@custompcreview Annotations also don't show up for HTML5 videos (or folk who block Flash, and instead force it to play the raw H.264 video), so best to make a note in the description too if you don't feel like redoing the audio lol. Then more people won't read it, but it'll be there, and you can use the "RTFD!" acronym of win! haha. OK I think I need sleep.
@iShowYouGamesAndTech A couple more FPS and it's pretty much guaranteed from the manufacturer that it will be stable at that speed. I've also heard that pre-oc'ed chips are typically the higher binned chips as well so they have more potential for more OCing.
@nAcolz I don't think you can. You need a 560Ti to SLI up with. You also probably want an overclocked one so that you SLI at the overclocked speed. I believe SLI will drop to the speed of the slower card.
Oh I did not notice that this is only GTX560 without ti :D:D So my question should be can I pair MSI GTX560ti 1GB with for example Gainward GTX560ti 2GB?
@Black8035 No, my Gpu is the 6970, your thinking of the 6990 with has two GPU's underclocked. i was just wondering why my gpu doesnt get sold anymore :(
@ByLyel Not sure... You mean XFX right? It's probably because the 7000 series Radeons are coming out in January so they're slowing production on the top end cards since they're a bit harder to sell than mid range cards. Either that or a whole bunch of people bought the video cards for bit coin and the supply is shot.
@SirShfvingle Yup. The "other" companies do produce some pretty good graphics cards. I mean they're all based off the original Nvidia or AMD gpu design so If you can find one of these Galaxys or whatever on discount there's no reason not to pick one up.

@1330pc HDMI is just DVI + Audio + DRM. If you hook up DVI, then no audio and no DRM, but video quality is the same.

why not? some are hard to overclock if they are not made for over clocking and it's better to have OC'd gfx card
