Fritz the Cat is an awesome cartoon, it shows how our society is like in the real world and how messed up it really is...this cartoon has funny moments too. @maldicientin R. Crumb didn't like the first Fritz the Cat movie. Said it was too weird and twisted. Which I find depressingly ironic since he was one of the founders of the underground comix scene, which was full of comics that were weird and twisted.

However, he's never even mentioned or acknowledged this crappy film. Ralph Bakshi said the reason is likely because if Crumb were to say that Nine Lives was bad, he'd have to admit that Bakshi's film was better.
