@stevo8825 I don't think the importance of Meshuggah in the spectrum of metal music can ever be understated. When people talk about metal, they should be one of "those" bands, up there with the likes of Metallica, Mayhem, Cannibal Corpse, etc. However, where Meshuggah greatly differ from the rest is there complete disregard for "neo-classical" shredding. They are one of the few metal bands out there who innovated enough to create their own completely unique style. Thanks to them we have djent!
