@rnbstephanie908 Hi, congrats on your new baby! My husband is trying to remember and he thinks he got in online, probably at Amazon.com. I know you can also get them at Hammacher Schlemmer or Sharper Image, they just might be a bit more expensive. I lived with it on my bed for months so that I could just slide up, pick up the baby and nurse him. When I got out of bed to nurse him, even just to walk over to my chair, I would be wide awake and get no sleep.
My baby was 9.84.....did you know that you were having a good size baby? We had ultrasounds and they only estimated him at 8 lbs lol....Congradulations!
Congratulations! I was all over the place too, pool, toilet, over the side of the bed, leaning on people (which Lord bless them, b/c I know I was dead weight and that isn't light by any means) Husbands of natural labor don't ever realize how much laboring they have to do too uh? lol I NEVER saw my husband during my birth but once or twice. He was always behind me w/ the counter pressure. Involuntary pushes to me felt like convulsions, I couldn't fight it even if I wanted. Was it like that 4 u 2?
CONGRATS!! Love his name, I'm a big fan of "Z" names :) My first daughter's middle name starts with a "Z".
I completely understand what you are talking about with the involuntary pushing, I had that with both babies :) It is amazing what our bodies, as women, are built to do!
Oh and wow you had a big first baby as well :) Good job! I wonder if that's why we both had back labour, from the size of them? (my first was 10lbs 4 oz)

Good to hear about quick and semi-easy home-birth type births... that is what I am planning on! If I was staying in Portland, it would have probably been at a birth center too! Anyway, congrats again! AMAZING JOB!

Wow! It's great your labor went quickly. Big baby boy! Were they predicting him to be that big?? Also, were you having a lot of braxton hicks contractions before you went into labor??
