I've been pondering for about a year, and you're helping me convince myself that it's time to go back to contacts. I hate glasses. I've always hated them. I wore contacts from the 70s until about 8 years ago, stopped because at the time I couldn't afford them, then got immune to wearing glasses again. It's time to recapture the freedom.

Sure, you have a "look" with glasses that everyone is used to. You look different without them. You look like YOU. They'll get over it. :-)

I tried contacts last year. Took some time to get in, but my oh my. Vision without glasses!

Then I found out I'd have to take them out regularly. God Amighty! I could not get those slippery boogers out. Eleven days later I still had one stuck in an eye. And I still had to go into work where I assembled microelectronics, and of course I couldn't wear my glasses, so only one eye could see.

I finally had the doctor take it out, and I've been glassy ever since.  87(

Being used to you with glasses, you now look weird without! But that's the case with EVERY glasses-wearer I know, first time you see them without their glasses on, they look really strange, then you eventually get used to it :P

I have a few of Ellen's standup shows on my iPhone as audio files, so I can just listen whilst wandering around town. So I'm walking down the road and will suddenly crack up laughing for no apparent reason, I get some really crazy looks from people! XD
