Very nice. I don't understand the naysayers. I've challenged myself to not leave negative comments on music videos. does'nt mean i won't but i try not to b/c everybody has different tastes anyway. But i really like this. this is good music to play while i draw, paint or write or whtvr. other good stuff that sounds like this is the album ''california'' by mr.bungle and songs by secret cheifs 3. are you a fan of them?

@TheInflicted It's Zorn vision of Morricone music. And Morricone itself enjoyed a lot listening it. Not a trivial cover, but something genial... and very intriguing.
Of course it's music, although it veers very far away from the traditional tonal system. Zorn is emulating a film score, and sounds within the piece acknowledge the events of the film. For example, the dissonant chimes at the beginning are meant to imitate church bells. It's definitely not crap, it's a complex and very well-planned piece.
Sorry if this comes off as pretentious, but I'm currently writing an essay on it for school.
@secretstash5 zorn in the beginning is not just emulating a film score it IS exactly the opening of the Big Gundown theme by marricone, only different instruments and played a bit faster

I get tired of stuff that is "intriguing". If I want intriguing I will go read a book. I want music to move me emotionally.
Music that is intriguing is like a blind date that was "interesting".

Man, what a mess. I used to own this CD but it's not the kind of thing I wanted to listen to more than once.
There's very, very little Morricone in this music. Not sure if it makes me an anti-jazz Philistine, but I'm siding with PinkLovingDiva on this one.
