I disagree with the idea of woman having to stay at home. I believe that is strongly misinterpreted by todays Sheikhs. Firstly why did the Prophet the best of all of humanity marry a business woman such as Khadeeja, if Islam went against woman working? She was his boss!

There is a beautiful lecture of several parts by Sheikh Moutasem al Hameedi. It is called "Secrets of the Heart". It is worth listening to, since it explains how and why people fall into sin, and how they can fix their problem IF they want to. It gives an insight into the minds of the addicts, and why they have a hard time overcoming their addiction.

mashallah said rageah..lovely lecture..islam leads people to live in respect and dignity..especially caring about women..instead of treating her as objects by exposing the beauty..her beauty should be only allowed to the ones who can really take care of her..the other people should respect her by her personality not a piece of hair or by any attraction..

Whats your problem? Islam honors and respect women at all. And western conventions see women as cheap things, which could be used and thrown away. And also the history confirms this fact, nothing changed. Western ideology is it which uses the woman as cheap sex instrument.

Second, even if Islam honors and respects women, abuse is still one of the world's problems. Every religion and culture has a problem with some of its members abusing others.

Islam is not exempt. People who opened up Muslim women's abuse shelters did so for a reason.

Islam is exempt, because it teaches husbands not to abuse wife's. If some Muslim men do it is because they are Muslim just by name, and not true flowers of Islam.

I'm not interested in the religious label you give to someone. Whether or not you call someone a muslim, that person is abusing their wife, and that is the problem that needs to be dealt with.

And you are right about this statement of yours, I agree. Just because Islaam gives rights to us women does not mean the society will conform with it too. It is about time Muslims learnt to walk the talk.

It is true that Muslim women have rights since ages. Some Muslims dont want to admit this part, but many are coming back to upholding the religion in a manner they should.
