@turdbutt124 you r right in a way. sometimes, people use the physical pain to escape the emothional pain that they r going thru. its a way to forget about anything but the physical pain.

Ive never cut myself, and have no desire to do so. I have several friends who have doe it to themselves. All of them seem to be very happy people, they all had a ton of friends. Just goe to show you, that you dont always know how they really feel. I dont understand it either, but it doesnt make me want to help any less.

I just completed the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) a few days ago, and this song is definitely reflective of it. So many people are affected by suicide, yet no one believes it affects people they know until it's too late. If an ASIST training program is ever offered, and you have a chance to be a part of it, do it. Take it. It's the most prepared you can get, without devoting your life to training to help people with suicide. Who knows, one day, you might save a life

I went to an ASIST program a couple of weeks ago because my friend thought it would be good for me so I went and it was a very helpful thing because now i can go and help people out.

This movie hits home. My BFF's older brother when he was 13 took his life because he thought he was a burden, and that everybody would be better off without him. I was 11 at the time.

When I was 16, my dad committed suicide.

It's not only hard for those who feel that this is their last resort, but those who they leave behind. So if you can't live for yourself, live for someone else, and remember help is always near by, even within a stranger.
