i actually do the same thing. it's easier for me to change the capo that way. it's not as awkward to me as doing it the "normal" way. just a matter of personal preference.
i know he's got ridiculously skinny and long fingers which are great for the guitar but having a cutaway would help! now that i think i about his crowdster would be a cutaway. i need me a crowdster and an olson (which he's playing here) :)

The tuning is EAEEBe. He is tuned a half step down, so if you want to play with the video, Capo 2 instead of 3.
