If you go to the right, where a skull is, there's probably someone waiting to kill you. if you go to the left, then there's that back garage thing that someone might kill you from. Call of Duty is about not doing the predictable, and enemies usually wouldnt predict that you would go down the middle. I think the middle is the best way.
