Haha, it's the students' traing of ECNU. I'm sure of that cuz I graduated from the school and had been through this activity. The traing was fun and of course pretty challenging.
This place is near the dormitory of international students. /Jimmy
Hey! This is the military training in my home university! Military training is compulsory for every college student in China. It usually lasts from 2 weeks to 3 months, depending on the universities' regulation. It's absolutely not the army.
This is indeed not the PLA, and I make no claims that it is. This from East China Normal University's military training. Click on "links," it'll take you to a relevant blog.
Huh, thanks sharkman224. I don't really understand what you're trying to say, but nevertheless it sounds kind of encouraging. This particular "war machine" was a bunch of giggly Chinese schoolgirls.
I think what he means to say is ummm.. that he doesnt agree with nations putting up arms against nations, and that the time is coming for that to be at an end. I could be wrong, though principally, i would agree.
It ok folks. God is gonna take care of this situation. You guys need to stop and consider how wrong it is too stand behind any nation. How its fundementally wrong to stand behind a war machine. God will take care of that too. Chinese, American, Iraqi, Isreal. Not one single country nor person will escape. But you still have time to free your mind of this non-sense.
I filmed this in Shanghai, not Taiwan or Japan. I don't know about official uniforms, but it's military training, vaguely equivalent to 50's era ROTC, not the actual military.

Do the international students have to do this too?

@saewhaa - No, but that would be awesome if they did! For many schools, at the end of military training you get to fire off a few rounds of a rifle!
