I take it this train is switching over to right hand running before crossing into Germany. The sound of the 55s remind me of some early American diesels. I take it they're mid 1950s vintage? :-)))
In belguim trains normally drive on the left track, but between Montzen and Aachen-West they already switch over to the right track because in Germany this is a standard procedure. In this case the train was still on the left track because the other track was out of service due to the placing of the catenairy on line 24. As you can see in this video, it all went very fast and in december class 55 on this line became history ...
