  • Thanks for the shopping list. I have the same radio in my Bus and have pulled it to do this mod. Please can you post a wiring diagram and an explanation. Many thanks.

  • Very interested in this modification. I understand you used a switch to bypass the incoming signal and add an aux cable jack....which wire is it? And where do I make the disconnection?

  • No FM Modulator. It's a simple modification adding the extra circuitry for the input jack and switch. The only internal modification is the desoldering of a single wire from the receiver to the volume potentiometer to add a SPDT (Single Pole, Dual Throw) switch. This modification cost less that $20 and everything was available at Radio Shack.

  • All you really need is :

    1 SPDT switch

    1 1/8" female phono plug

    2 10K resisters

    wire

    solder

    heatshrink tubing
