The mate of ours that shot this video a few years ago now, passed away recently from Cancer...We Took the boat from Newcastle to the Gold Coast recently and caught one almost twice this size (15kg) off Forster (Sorry no vid of that one)..We all treasure this video as a fond memory of our good mate..RIP Niko...Miss ya mate.
----when the other just swam straight up to the boat and was almost touching it for a minute, so the instructor ran up and got the gaff and, get this, HE ACTUALLY STUCK IT! He stuck an enormous dolphin, but it just jumped off and swam off. We were going on about it for the next half hour!
Such a beauty! I just came back from two days fishing about 20 miles out of Panama Beach, FL, and the most amazing thing ALMOST happened! We were just going to a different location when we saw a few dolphins in the water. Well, after about 15 minutes of constant baiting and casting, we finally got the smaller one (it was still good sized, but tiny compared to the other), ----

It was a while ago now...but from memory it was just over a metre long and prob weighed about 4-5kg....have caught em plenty bigger since...Cheers
