  • What a beautiful human, I love James Stewart, especially in Harvey.

    Good man

  • fast moving clouds during jump....hmmm RIP Mr Stewart

  • RIP Michel.

  • that orchestral music is too distracting

  • Jimmy Stewart was one of the greatest actors ever

  • He seemed like one of the most genuine actor of all times...maybe even one of the most genuine people of all time

  • My all time favourite movie is It's a Wonderful Life, my fifth favourite is Rear Window and my tenth favourite is Vertigo.....Well, who am I kidding here? James Stewart is the best! God bless you!

  • rear window was my favouirte film.

  • his voice is soooo endulging.....so addictive...like bubbles, you know what i mean....

  • J'adore cet acteur et ses films. Bonne idée la musique de Vertigo en fond sonore

  • What a great person. God Bless James Stewart.

  • I think that Tom Hanks is like Jimmy Stewart. They are both the likeable everyman.

  • @paulod27 Hardly, Hanks is nothing like Stewart at all.

  • Jimmy Stewart Is The Best. Thank You For A Wonderful Life

  • Peterflrthfan Is A Racist And A Asshole

  • les weird interview show.

  • new rule for actors: only watch films starring yourself after thirty years.

  • ya jimmy?!?!?

  • Yeah, ol' Hal Kanter and I go out for coffee every week, he only has great things to say about Jimmy Stewart. Nice fellow, that Mr. Kanter

  • I cant believe my eyes with all these spiteful comments about a great man. Jimmy Stewart was one of the greatest actors to ever live. He had many great movies and was very genuine in them. He even fought in world war 2(and didnt have to). That is noble. could you imagine an actor today goin to Afghanastan? I couldnt name you one that would. So keep your hateful comments and false facts to yourself because he is a real stand up guy.

  • @tginn07

This is the legacy of the internet, it's now much more difficult to ignore those who speak of what they know absolutely nothing about. Case in point - PeterFirthFan, who probably gets all his (erroneous) knowledge from Wikipedia.

  • Ya they here these false roomers on some phony website and then try to tarnish someones name by spreading their crap. I just can't believe they would do it to someone like Jimmy Stewart hes not even the slightest controversial guy.

  • Just ask Hal Kanter what an evil racist Stewart was.

  • No one cares what false facts you have to say. No matter what you say it still doesnt change how great of a man Jimmy Stewart was. And today everyone is always falsly accusing something of being racist and they are usually wrong. So take your crap somewhere else because you dont have many followers on this topic.

  • You have a lot of issues.

  • Ask Hal Williams how the racist Stewart had him fired from his NBC show just because he was black.

  • he wasn't a racist was he ? :O

  • Jimmy Stewart is my favourite actor, his voice has a beautiful rythm, he is very passionate and unlike today's actor he was a true hero, not a guy dressed as one.

  • @PeterFirthFan which race did he dislike?

  • @captainmario42

    I agree.

  • i cant say he looks like his young self here, but if you close your eyes he still has the same soothing voice.. :)

  • I miss this man. A remarkable and handsome man and someone who will never be forgotten in Hollywood. God bless you, Jimmy.

  • If you can die as a young person, then perhaps you may understand.

  • THat Vertigo music playing under the interview is extremely annoying.

  • Firthfan must be an idiot. If not, he is sure on the way.

    Hilarious little leftist loonie.

  • I could listen to Jimmy all day as well as spend the entire day with him.

  • Absolutely great interview! I could listen to Jimmy all day. But the score was overpowering and unnecessary. When someone as charismatic and interesting as James Stewart is talking, you don't want anything to interfere with him being heard.

  • Really, do you mean by that he was more racist in attitude than would be considered normal, given the generation to which he belonged?

Or do you mean that he was racist judging him through the standards of the present, and applying it as some rough hewn filter to the empty echoes of the past?

If you give me your referenced sources I can make up my own mind. Harvard prefered

  • Well I'm sure you've got evidence to back that up, so lets see it. When your mom lets you out from cleaning the bedroom you can go to the public library and do some research in the young adults section, lol.

  • Well for a start, the fact that he was anti Communist, and pro the Vietnam war was a good thing. Anything that stopped the pernicious vicious ideology of Communism was a benefit. The only problem with the Vietnam war, or all wars that America has fought since ww2, is that they haven't mobilised the country and killed all of their enemies.

As for his "alleged" racism, he's entitled to an opinion, I should care less.

  • Well given that the Left Wing have been responsible for far more mass murders through design and the resulting poverty of their wacky world view, I'll consider that a complement.

I'm a nut job, you like mass murderers.

    Good comparison.

  • Well he was in WW2, a bomber pilot actually. He probably killed loads of men, women and children doing that. Go away and read, something like a book, then come back. You don't have to inflict you ignorance on other people, it's something you volunteer to do.

So go away, read, and stop denigrating war heroes, you'd be grovelling to some slimy jack booted kraut if it wasn't for men like Jimmy Stewart, who, unlike you had patriotism, and more importantly, courage.

  • Jimmy Stewart flew his full bomber tour over the most dangerous targets in Europe and was the highest ranking entertainer during the war earning full Bird Colonel rank, working up from Private. And never bragged or publicized about it once. A true flippin' hero.

  • @ianclivewright please dont talk about such horrible things! look war is horrible I never want to think about it and I will never understand it but he was forced to be in the war do horrible things perhaps see horrible things, its just horrible all around.

  • @cutie4u61288

    and your point is?

I'll tell you what's more horrible than war, being raped continually in a military brothel, then taken to a pit and shot in the back of the head.

Being tortured by sadists for fun, then raped, then shot in the back of the head.

    Need I go on?

If it wasn't for war, you wouldn't have the comfortable life you evidently have, with access to electricity, computers, food, and medical care. You'd be a slave, as simple as that.

  • @canisfamilliaris wtf is wrong with you? everything is horrible everything is bad including war stop bringing that crap up.

  • Greatest interview ever!

  • No, not really. He is considerate, polite, and he doesn't rudely interrupt the interviewee every two words like most American interviewers do nearly all the time. I guess it's really the French accent that irks you. I hope someday you find it in you to forgive the other 9/10ths of the globe for not being native speakers of English.

  • I agree, Vintage. It's a great interview. The background score gives it an almost cinematic feel..

  • Okay, so what's "incredibly inane" about my response?

  • look up the definition of inane, kind of speaks for itself. your response just spouted out a bunch of baseless garbage over the comment "Worst interviewer ever". Apparently from those three words you figured out he was xenophobic and American. INANE

  • @bphutchins Are you telling this to the French? If you study film, you would know that the French contributed a lot to films. And the golden years of Hollywood are long gone. Nowadays, once in a while you get a good deep film, but the rest is commercial bullshit.

  • @IanaGyln welcome to 2 years ago. I realize that there are good french films. I was getting under the guy's craw for his idiotic comment ripping on Americans for no reason. Alot of good cinema comes out of the US, you just have to look for it.

  • Well French accents are pretty irksome, so he should be forgiven.

  • @VintageEuroTV what does being french have to do with anything

  • Hello Jimmy Stewart. Wow! To interview Jimmy Stewart must have been a moment to remember. What a remarkable man.

  • Interesting music score....
