  • Haha !!!!! What was dat ??

  • Linux really beats windows.

  • Classic. But you can make a longer version with ALL Linux Kernels,IBM/OS,BSD ,OSX,google chrome, firefox and anything else you can think of

  • Flash wasn't Gates' first victim. Ever wonder what happened to Netscape and Skype? If you think Skype is succeeding, then you really need to see all the bugs that have been occurring.

  • Hahaha that was a pretty awesome and entertaining vid! Nicely done @petgraveyard !

  • @peterthethinker Uh, yes it can.

  • @TheJerico246 Uh, install Gnome?

BTW: Why the hell are you using Mandriva - it's all business based (I have it on my HD now and I wish I didn't put it there)

  • @petgraveyard Good man! I like all OSes (Ok, that's a lie - Mac sucks BUT that's my opinion :) ). I wish people would accept people's opinions, not just OSes, but everything!

  • @sexysouthernboi4u Why would Linux want to do what Windows can do?

And, arguing at myself here, Linux can run Windows apps, but not aswell (But loads of people run GTA & TS3 on Linux with Wine)!

  • First off, I'm not defending Microsoft in any way - I use Linux (Mepis). But, just to point out the obvious...

There is a big, big, big reason Windows gets viruses - everyone uses it (nearly). Why would hackers spend all their time making viruses for a miniscule of the population when they can piss on Windows.

Also, because of the vast majority of software on Linux, it's harder to target.

Get you facts straight, and look at the obvious people!

  • Linux is better then Microsoft (Note i use Microsoft but piss on them) lets face the facts

Microsoft is over weak agenst Virus, Remote Over watch, and Global Internet attack agenst awesome servers on the net.)

the only reason why Microsoft is Leader of the market is because they take money for there software with is made to be a Old cheese) it got options and can be used for pros but theres too many leaks. and linux got them covered anyway

  • you forgot Steve Jobs; iTunes was also installed

  • Ha ha tons of inside jokes

  • linux suck dicks windows rules mac at 2

  • @hitingback Ah, you have never used Linux. What a shame.

  • @handofstand i have used linux asshole

  • @hitingback You're with that group of trolls, so talking to you would be same as writing something on a piece of paper and then burning it. No point.

  • tux@ubuntu:~$ wine iexplorer.exe

No command 'wine' found, did you mean:

Command 'putty' from package 'wine' (universe)

  • @nickguletskii200 Whoops, 'putty' should be 'wine'... XD

  • Linux sucks ass

  • @MrNumeroid Trolololololololol

  • @foxyd3 Every time someone says that I think of the trololol guy

  • @MrNumeroid So do I, haha.. Even still, you be trollin.

  • @foxyd3 Lol doesn't matter, Linux still sucks ass

  • @MrNumeroid Meh, we all have our own opinions. I like my freedom of choice. You like your...limitations and...uh...virus's? jk, I have w7 on dual boot for games and college work (.NET programming and such)

  • @foxyd3 Lol limitations? I feel no need to mess with source code and what not. And I have Zorin OS 4 installed next to Win7. Oh and Windows doesn't get nearly as many viruses as people like to think.

  • @MrNumeroid Erm...I never once have had to touch any source code. lol Nice though, use a linux distro designed to look like Win7. Seems like you just cant adjust, honestly. As for Windows getting viruses, disable your virus protection and tell me how that works out for you.

  • @foxyd3 Lol I disabled shitty Norton before and didn't get any viruses

  • @MrNumeroid Why the crap did you have Norton? Or was it in the midst of all the bloat that comes with windows machines?

  • @foxyd3 It's not really Windows's fault, it's HP, they put a whole bunch of useless shit on there that I end up closing when I boot into Windows.

  • @MrNumeroid go into msconfig and look up, under startup, the stuff that starts up so you can uncheck it

BUT MAKE SURE IT'S NOT IMPORTANT STUFF, some of the things there are important and need to start up with the computer, look up the names of the executables with Google before you uncheck them

  • @foxyd3 Norton comes standard on OEM installs a lot of the time because Norton pays them to put it there.

  • @MrNumeroid Comodo is really good, it has scored top marks in matousec's firewall tests.

  • @foxyd3 yes disable virus protection, open up Internet Explorer, and go to coolroms . c o m

    >:)

  • @MrNumeroid Linux isn't going anywhere, ever. It will be a permanent part of the world for as long as there are computers.

  • @handofstand That doesn't change the fact that Windows is superior

  • @MrNumeroid only in ease of use, and in this area Ubuntu shines (you don't have to open up a command line 90% of the time).

but, if you don't WANT to learn how the O.S. (Windows or Linux), that's okay, but you will pay a price for ignorance, every time. no exceptions.

  • @handofstand Only in ease of use? LOL, Windows is better in gaming performance, CPU usage, ease of use (like you said), and check this guy's videos out if you want to see Linux fail: user/lienucksfails2

  • @MrNumeroid I am going to school and getting my A+ currently. I go back and forth between WIndows and Linux (guess which one I use most often) because I have to. I don't make lots of of money, I don't have to buy special hardware for Ubuntu to run on.

Windows is definitely not superior to Linux in terms of technical capability. You have not done your homework.

Ease of use, for the layman, is where Windows excels. Please do some research on the subject, and you will see.

  • @handofstand I've done plenty, and Windows is far superior to Linux. Maybe you should go to the channel I suggested.

  • @MrNumeroid That channel belongs to a raging fool who is doing sleight-of-hand to trick people into believing his way.

  • @MrNumeroid Also you are very wrong about CPU usage. No matter what I am doing, on my 2GB desktop with Debian with xdm and XFCE, CPU usage, no matter what I am doing or how much of it, never rises above 20%. For casual things, it stays under 10%.

Install it and see for yourself. I would be happy to show you how to do so.

  • @handofstand I actually HAVE a PC that is only Linux.

  • @MrNumeroid OpenGL is usable by WIndows and Linux. Games like Warcraft III can use OpenGL, as well as many others. Nvidia has great support for graphics card drivers under *nix.

Even though Microsoft desperately tried to kill it, is thankfully still going strong. Otherwise video cards would not be affordable except by those with high-paying jobs, because there would be no competition and Microsoft could charge lots of money to companies to use DIrectX.

    Ease.

    Of.

    Use.

    Only reason.

  • @handofstand Only reason my ass, Windows also has the most software, most hardware compatibility and great support. Not to mention MS Office performs better than OpenOffice (ignoring the price, but you could pirate it if you want). As for your DirectX/OpenGL argument, it's completely pointless when you consider the fact that barely anyone makes games for Linux, and Wine not only is hard to use, but may not work and causes performance loss.

  • @MrNumeroid First of all, Wine is a last resort.

And second of all, for-profit games are meant to be run on a proprietary platform. Software pirating has shown us that, and it is the very reason that consoles are so heavily developed for rather than PC. Third of all, some really good games are cross-platform. World of Goo, Unreal Tournament 2004, Doom 3, Penumbra, and there are others if you look [that do not run under Wine].

  • @handofstand bit . ly / gF8Ky4

Remove the spaces and then go to the link.

    Also: bit . ly / 9O4OeD

They were using OpenGL graphics in that test. Windows runs OpenGL the best.

  • @MrNumeroid I already found a Phoronix benchmark and the results were very close between Win7 and Ubuntu 10.04. Google "Is Windows 7 Actually Faster Than Ubuntu 10.04".

  • @handofstand That depends on what you mean by 'faster'.

    Windows is better at:

    Gaming

    Office software performance

    CPU usage

And I have many problems with Linux. For example, it seems to really slow down my internet speed. Seriously, Windows is way faster while browsing the web (on my machines). Same browser on both, too.

  • @MrNumeroid The Phoronix benchmark only compared OpenGl perfoermance.

YOU DID NOT READ THE ARTICLE. You are a worthless troll because you continue to repeat the same thing.

You have made lots of assumptions based on what you believe even after I have shown contradictory findings. You obviously do not understand these technologies. I will explain one of them for you.

OpenGL is used to 3D rendering (also 2D (no Z depth)), common in high-end video games today.

  • @handofstand No seriously, go to the channel I recommended. You have been ignoring it. I repeat the same things because they're TRUE. You are a worthless troll because you deny, deny, deny after being proven wrong. I understand these plenty, you brought up OpenGL and I showed that Windows runs that better too. And Linux is very useful for servers and heavy rendering, that much is true, but looking at where Linux is now, it will not be a successful desktop OS for a while.

  • @MrNumeroid I have, Lie -whatever-hie-name-is is a troll and so are you.

  • @handofstand No, I am not. You have fun denying the truth, and I'll use my superior operating system.

  • @MrNumeroid I have no more time to waste for you to talk at me.

  • @handofstand Running away? Awww, that's too bad. Well, I guess I'll go look for more morons to own now.

  • @MrNumeroid LOL. Nice. You've completely owned this retarded fool, it never had a chance considering how low its IQ was to begin with.

  • Comment removed

  • @handofstand I have addressed the things you brought up, and you were proven wrong.

  • @MrNumeroid I think the people reading these comments will be able to tell how little you have actually talked about what I brought up.

  • @handofstand And I think any one with a shred of intelligence will see the truth: you were brutally defeated in this argument.

  • @handofstand I deleted the comment because you know how to reason, but would rather use your intelligence for irritate people for no reason.

  • @handofstand LiEnucks sucks at OpenGL, HD video decoding, gaming, and anything GPU related. Shitty drivers FTW. LOL. Owned.

  • @MrNumeroid I would really appreciate it if you would continue not to spread false information. Windows is not a religion, it is an Operating System used to do things. Linux shares some of it's goals, but I can see that you are not interesting in enabling people.

I don't have anymore time to waste finding more evidence that does not support your claims because all you do it repeat what you said before in a similar form.

  • @handofstand not continue*

  • @handofstand LiEnucks is a religion to you vocal insecure LiEnucks retards, isn't it? Do not worry, we'll piss and take a shit on it, scream, cry, and dance as much as you will.

  • @LiEnucksFAILS Well, have fun paying for every upgrade and faffing about with anti-virus software and BSODs and closed-source environment, etc.

  • @MrNumeroid

Gaming: Wine & PlayOnLinux & many (awesome) native, free games for Linux.

    Office Software: LibreOffice.

    CPU Usage: Hardly uses any.

  • @MrNumeroid Also, have you looked at the Ubuntu repositories lately? 30,000+ packages, which probably amounts to 5-10,000 softwares to do different things.

And, if you want ti, there is Home from Canonical, where you can call or email them for support. The price for a year of support is almost the same as the price of an upgrade from Win7 Starter to Home Premium.

Look at the my list of links, which can be found on my channel page on my profile in the description: links 00008 and 00010.

  • @handofstand I don't know why you even brought this up, but thanks I guess

  • @MrNumeroid Because I don't like people to be misinformed, it is one of my pet peeves.

  • @handofstand I assure you I am not misinformed. You showing that Ubuntu support costs as much as Windows 7, if anything, just makes Ubuntu look worse. I've been running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit for quite a while now and haven't had any problems.

  • @MrNumeroid I have not had any problems with Ubuntu, either.

    I am running Windows 7 Pro x64.

Take a closer look at the _level_ of support you get from Canonical for Ubuntu and from Microsoft for Windows Home Premium. (You may have to pay extra for support from Microsoft.)

  • @MrNumeroid whoops, sorry about that, it is called "Ubuntu Home Support"

  • iv used ubuntu, and in that, you missed out several things, like how you need to go an find the audio codecs before you can play any music, which may be a bit annoying if your wifi card's drivers arnt already installed, which means you cant do this on the go as your gonna have to go an find somewhere to plug in an ethernet cable, go find the wifi drivers, an then find everything you need. In my opinion, coming from a windows user, OSX is the best FOR ME, cant just say it wins because you say so

  • how many of you know that a lot of the windows kernal is unix

  • @troymellor of course windows can't escape from unix its everywhere =3

  • @bayzarea925 That's right, go to the Walmart and look at the cash registers.

What company do they say they were manufactured by? IBM? IBM runs zOS/AIX/and other forms of Unix.

  • @troymellor Windows runs on DOS. lulz

  • @foxyd3 not very smart then are you

  • @troymellor nope, I just misread your comment. haha the "a lot" part is what i read over.

  • s@troymellor No, it is partially POSIX compliant. That means that the way it is designed it SORT OF like *nix.

WIndows does not share code with *nix, because Microst does NOT play well with others.

  • @troymellor oh, and great job, troll.

you really should put more effort into your posts than you do to masturbate, though. just a thought.

  • @troymellor I'm sorry, I apologize for that. I thought you were a troll.

But you are just misinformed, and I overreacted.

The Windows kernel is Microsoft's alone, although you may be partially right because I'm positive Microsoft stole (and is continuing to use) lots of code from Linux, and possibly Unix.

They do not, however, build upon or even incorporate any of the Linux/Unix kernel that I am aware of, and in fact want nothing more than to destroy Linux.

If this is too complicated to...

  • @handofstand You overracted? More like you're a fucked up lunatic. Calm down, piece of shit. You've proven that the LiEnucks morons are nothing but a bunch of sad miserable insecure vocal ANGRY nerds.

    Owned :)

  • @troymellor ...understand, then just consider that Linux heavily draws from standards (to make it operate well with other technologies), while Microsoft 'make their own', and generally try to extend, standards to make them inoperable with other technologies.

  • ROFL nice xD

  • Go IE let your bugs be your guide lol!!! Damn Gates he just stole ideas and software from other ppl that mothe f...

  • Awesome!

  • tux rulez :D

  • ONESTOP FTW

  • So shits its good

  • UBUNTU FTW!!!!

  • This is awesome...!! My fav OS is linux UBUNTU..!! which is ma default..!! Anyway great video

  • hahaha Let the bugs be your guide

  • This video is awesome! I use openSUSE, but Ubuntu is also good!

  • hm.... somehow this reminds me of pet sematary. Strange...

  • @autonomous2010 Haha...

  • Windows 7 is awesome.

Must say that both Linux and Mac OS X are definitely good Operating Systems though (I have Ubuntu dual-booted with Windows 7 at the moment).

Windows XP ? I can't believe I ever used that thing. And I can understand why there's no Windows 7 vs. Linux videos ;-)

The only difference is that I pay for one of them (would rather it be half the price though).

  • no....

    Everyone MUST use Microsoft Windows!

I get paid to fix your Microsoft Windows issues!

If you use Linux then you develop brains and that just won't do!!!

All hail to the monopoly that is Microsoft!!!

  • @autonomous2010 lol you can come and fix my linux problems, i dont have any with windows, so mabey it's good if windows gets replaced with linux

  • @happygamestvfun1 Generally speaking I only work with windows machines at my job but I am sure I can make an exception in your case.

What linux distro are you having problems with?

  • haha, bill gates is a gay bitch. i do hafta say that os x is my favorite, but in a close second is linux mint and then ubuntu. linux for the close second and windows for an epic fail!!!

  • @redspade04 you may like a diff os but that dosent mean bill is gay does it

    but windows FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • onestop music? try listen it on mobile.

the punishment for bill was cool. And immune to IE was cool

  • Lmao !!

  • The cool part is that ubunto got his music up so fast :p

And Windoze Iis like everything mathcs!

  • Linux fucking rockz!

  • haha PWND!

  • Linux Mint

  • the only thing bad about windows is the price

  • LINUX RULLEEEEZ

  • hahahhahhaha do jaja

  • I love this video! Linux Ubuntu is my default OS! I also like how you also made fun of it a bit with "the desktop background needs to be perfect".

  • @izawha Thank you for your compliments!

  • Ok. Now that's just fukken awesome.

  • epic

  • I hate it when people sit here and argue which is better.

Whether you like one or not = Opinion.

Personally, I think Ubuntu is far from the best distro though...

  • hahahahahahaha i love linux hahahaha this is good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awsome! xD

  • ROFLMAO! otherworld from ffx.

    should have added dicicive battle...

  • BE SAFE, USE GNU/LINUX

  • I lol'ed when tux sat on bill :)

  • it is great man. I believe one day Linux will rule. Just like business. you will not conquer the business for the entire life. But Linux please make sure most of the software is supported. All the best.

  • omfg dotn say "LInuc rules" if you dont even run it <|:)

  • Linux rules !

  • well, I do think the effort with this was commendable. But I did expect more from it.

  • lol linux takes no sh**!

  • lol

  • IE immune xD +5

  • obviously linux wins

  • i so agree linux ftw!

  • Dommage pour la mauvaise qualité, la vidéo est énorme !

  • lmfao thats right you dont ever fuck with tux because he dominates

  • whats the song at the beginning where bill gates gets his song and it's like 16 bit

  • @jadonSteve That's actually music that's included with every install of Windows XP. It's somewhere in the System32 directory inside C:\WINDOWS\, if you care to look for it.

  • not bad

  • ROFL 5/*

  • roflmao blue death screen had to kill bill itself

  • Oh - YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!

    Linux rules!!!

Maybe you will add Mac OS to another battle?

  • Ok, know this is the best fight. Go to my channel!

Ubuntu runs faster than any program, like Modern Warfare (CD:MW).

  • ahahhahahhahahahahha XD bill gates suck :-) linux rulez

  • i wanna games on linux is it possible and i do not noe how to install linux- my spec, 1.6ghz,256gb ram, 16mb vram, 20gb hdd compaq evo n600c..

  • Yes, it is, just install Wine on your Linux distribution. But not every game made for Windows runs on Wine. However, there are good games made for Linux, like the Quake's, Urban Terror, Wolfestein: Enemy Territory and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, EVE, Vendetta, Savage 2, Nexuiz, America's Army, TrueCombat: Elite, Second Life, etc

If you have a Live CD of some Linux distro -- I RECOMMEND UBUNTU 9.10, you don't have to install on the HD to use it. :-)

  • Linux rules

  • I really wonder why people continue to assume bill gates is the ceo of microsoft. He's not, the crazy balmer guy is, just saying.

  • LMAO

  • I used Linux one time, it was too hard for me to program. Linux is the perfect OS for a business! Mac, is good for schools, and PC is perfect for home. You all know I'm right. With PC, free proxys and all. Then, MAC, free parental controls to block websites, perfect for school, and Linux, all the free programs it's amazing! I love them all! (I'm a PC user soon to be a Linux, I'm starting a business! Wish me luck) They are all good for something, just gotta get used to flaming!

  • nice vid

  • Oops!! Sorry bout that... OpenOffice is NOT from Adobe! XD :P My bad... at least I don't think it is! :S Someone check! :) :P

  • It's by Sun Microsystems.

  • but Window is better to gaming but i got Windows XP and Linux on other combuter

  • only because of compatibility.

Games with native linux builds always run faster than on windows.

Even on the worst linux, ubuntu.

  • lol funny video. it could sure be made better but its funny that way^^

  • what about apple?

  • Crush Bill Tux!!

    Linux Rules :0)
