Thanks everyone for watching. VickRobCal thankfully has this in better audio quality, just wish someone had a 90%+ quality version of the opening credits posted. Mine are too muffled in sound until mid-1998(except 2 '96 versions).
@TrixieBelaire Blair's pregnancy was SORASed at the very end of 1995 like Nora's was in early 1999. Blair originally conceived Starr in July 1995, later discovering she was pregnant in late August/early September episodes in the midst of their annulment. By January 5, 1996 she claimed "I'm 7 months old", which speaks of a second half of May or early June 1995 conception date. Soaps do SORAS pregnancies as in Feb. '99 Nora gave birth to Matthew after 4 months, but said 28 weeks pregnant instead.
@TrixieBelaire I guess so, it had only been about 2 months since they made Blair pregnant on screen. The director must have not cared too much about ensuring she looked 4 months pregnant. Try watching my November 16 opening scene, it might answer your question by comparing the two. ABC is re-airing it after 15 quarter years on February 11.
@Carmaker1 - Someone said they were watching back then and basically the writers just SOARSed her pregnancy. It's irritating because I'm always trying to find a secret subplot about it being someone else's baby or something but the truth is you'll never know because they never stick to the same story or use real time.
@Carmaker1 do you know if starr finding out todd raped marty is on youtube? or, do you remember how she found out (who told her), so i could search for it? i've been looking for that for years but there's a zillion oltl videos on here and i never find it. lol
though i thought it was earlier than 2007... when marty, cole, blair, todd/victor jr., and starr were in the police station after the party where cole flips out from the steroids, starr already knew. i thought that was in 2006.
The old OLTL is more of a real soap opera, in my opinion the current OLTL is more of a drama if that makes sense. Maybe it helps me cope with being a male watching a show considered a soap opera
@Shaunmccall101 Yes! I'm a female, but I totally agree. I can't watch the other soaps because they're too boring--too much lovey-dovey stuff or boring who-slept-with-who stories. But OLTL has crime and mystery with storylines that are more interesting to me than other soaps.
Yes, but it's not as bad a case of SORASing as most are. Starr's only about 5 years older than she should be. Plus, it helps that the same actress has been playing her since she was a little girl.
omg! i didn't see this when i just repied to ur message! ok! i didn't know who was starrs mother! lol i need to watch all the episodes after this but i think im just going to watch all OLTL episodes on yt. :( but thank u sooooo much for the upload!
@LadySingStarz soras: soap opera rapid aging syndrome. they do it cause sometimes they want to use the children in the show nd the other characters might be gettin old. thay wanted to use starr. also cole should have been born after starr but he is a year older than her. or dani should be about a year younger than jack but they wanted kids nd instead of bringing in new characters they just aged the old ones
Actually, Starr being only four years older than her "real" age is pretty good for a soap. Sometimes characters are 15 or even 20 years older than they should be.
Lulu was born in 1994 (August, I believe), so she'd be 14 years old in real time. It's rare for any soap kid to not be SORASed a little, but if it's more than 4 or 5 years it starts to mess up the history of the show.
IS there somewhere i can get these on dvd?

Starr went from being 2 to being 6 pretty fast.
HPFanBaby 1 year ago
@HPFanBaby Starr was said to be 7 in 2001 and later 13 in 2004 and 14 in 2005. They settled on 1992 in 2007, when she found out Todd raped Marty.

ok Blair qave birth to Starr in 1996? && Starr is already 18 years old? that doesn't make sense.

So Blair's already freaking out about Marty being in the room and yelling that she wants Marty out. . .
So Marty goes and stands right next to the bed.

Tad on AMC is an example of a young character who was never SORASed. His age on the show and in real life has always been consistent.
thatsmrdouglas2u 2 years ago
I agree. 4-5 years really isn't so bad. And it helps that the same actress has played Starr since she was a little girl.
