he's not doing the song in the key its written...the high G's aren't there. he is stylizing his way around hitting them, which upsets me :/ acting is fine, but it looks like a miscast if they have to redo the music to fit him.

@MCRmyINO well aren't you mr. critical pants. To clarify: the song is in its original key and to my knowledge there is only one high G and that is at the beginning which does get hit. The beauty of theater is the freedom the actor has to do what he/she wants with a role and professional actors constantly change songs to make them their own and don't strictly stick to the score and finally, to cast a role properly you need to consider everything not just the ability to sing one part of one song.
