Yes, I do have his LAST show the day before he died recorded. I will give it to my husband to transfer the tape to a MP3 at his job and put it on here. I've been meaning to do that! THANKS!!
Uncle Bobby warmly awarded a U93 T-shirt to some goofy 9 year old kid requesting "Raspberry Beret" for being the 93rd caller one summer evening back in 1985. Class act, still hear his voice.

Thanks to jkretch72! I am very impressed that you remember the genre's and stations my dad worked at. Thanks again for saying he is the best radio personality Michiana ever had. I am glad someone agree's with me. lol :)
Wow! I just learned that the great "Uncle Bobby Rivers" passed away six years ago. So sad. I was reading a book today that mentioned a Seattle DJ named "Bob Rivers". I got online to see if it was Uncle Bobby, and alas, found out he is no longer with us. I grew up listening to him on U93, then Zip 104, and I believe WRBR (also 104) which had an oldies format. After that, I lost track of him. He was one of kind. The best radio personality Michiana ever had. So sorry for your loss. - Jerry
I used to work for a company called Dance Party Productions, they would do the dances for U93. Bobby was guest DJ at many of them. He was always funny, and goofing around with us. I even remember working with Travis a few times to. Terry Wilkinson used to own the company, he's my cousin. Bobby was always cool and never treated any of us bad. He was a CLASS ACT! God Bless.
@Monsternutt Thank you so much!! Was this in the 80's? I can't beleive you remember my brother Travis too! Thanks for the nice comments. By viewers making comments it makes me keep him alive. You made my day!
Have a lot of fond memories of listening to your dad on both Zip 104 and U93 back in the 80s...lots of laughs, and even got to talk to him briefly while making a request. Thanks for posting!
@DogPatch1149 Thank you!!!!!! I am so happy you remember my dad! He loved working on the radio and loved his listeners. You made my day by commenting, thanks again really! You are helping me keep his memory alive! :)
Thanks Terry! You made my day. I didn't even think I was going to get one comment on this. My husband is the camera man at FOX 28 where the telethon is hosted at, so he has been gone for nearly 22 hours live filiming the telethon. I get emotional watching the telethon, so I decided now would be a great time to make a video for him. It did have music in the background, but it was disabled for copy right reasons. Thanks so much for watching and your comment!

Natasha,
Not a telethon goes by that I do not think of your father.
He was suppose to have dinner with me the day he past away.
I can attest to the love he held for you and his mother.
Your tribute here Iam sure, makes him proud.
