The Thundercats Opening theme was OMG just amazing.. the energy, the action and as a child it used to give me goosebumps LOOOOL... You had to know when it was on TV coz there was no other intro like it!! The cartoon was brilliant!!

I like both the old and the new Thundercats, both have their strengths and weaknesses to them. To be honest it just depends on which version of the story you like better because IMO the two seem to vary.

If one thing reminds me of my childhood, it's the Thundercats opening theme. Absolutely brilliant! I'm so lucky to have been a kid of the 80's/early 90's. I used to love the Turtles as well but Thundercats was, and always will be number one!

Thundercats, He-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, GI Joe, Ghostbusters, Transformers, etc. It definitely was one of the best eras to live as a kid! Nowadays the cartoons are just crap! The makers don't put their soul in it like they used to do!

@razoremblem well the first few episodes were done in japan, then JLA Animation handled the rest it was the same with the turtles first 12 episodes were done by toei animation then the rest were done by dic's private animation studio.

Yep, this cartoon was a legend and its American, but the fact is, a Japanese studio made the animation, and if you watch the whole series, some of the actions scenes was animated by the same studio......

Same as Power Rangers, and Megaman

Rankin/Bass created the show, but it was animated by Pacific Animation Corporation which included a Japanese studio called Topcraft (many of the members of which went on to form Ghibli). The opening animation was hand drawn by Masayuki Yamaguchi.
