It's a tradition of mine to make a human character with some sort of heal/protect abilities first when it comes to RPGs. The game will be unbalanced and pointless then. The "sidekick" system will allow your lvl 5 friend to come help you successfully at lvl 150-200 - being pointless to even try to level that much.. Anet knows people want to level higher than 20, but when you have 200,432,563 exp left till lvl 67 to 68 then that's just wrong... so level 67 to 68 will be as easy as level 1 to 2, and how will a character's stats be evenly distributed between 150-200 levels?

Gameplay should be fun and epic from the very beginning of the game.. and it WILL be. Did you see how epic the low level bosses are in this game? Some of the bosses from the demo look like endgame bosses in other mmos. I rather have the gameplay be fun, hard, and awesome at lvl 1+ than like 60+... you'll still get attributes for leveling and your friends can't help you unless you add them as a sidekick.. so they cant just barge into a high level area like that.

Yes, the sidekick system is for when a new friend of yours buys the game and wants to play with you. Instead of him/her leveling all the way to 50, 60, or 70 he/she can join you as a sidekick and help out without dying in 1 hit.. still being lvl 1. Ofcourse your friend will need to level up, but you can help him/her by tagging along for the exp and adventure or your friend can continue his/her personal story to level up on her/his own time.
